Totally get what you're saying, but I'm just not seeing enough detail. With resolutions this bad I often assume any potential detail could also be an artifact. The one detail that really makes me suspicious is the engine nozzle. It just doesn't look right.

For me it looks like a RC model. The engine nozzle does not looks like a normal fighter.

The front view is the best view. But the side view is too stiff.

Actually Escobars second picture in the climbing left bank from the topside, is now my new screen saver, shows all that wing to good advantage, also shows canards in a slight nose down trim as it climbs, there must be lots of forward fuse lift going on, and that prolly also creates some vortex lift for the aft mounted delta. It does show the planform to good effect and shows how wide the fuselage is between the inlets, prolly a very serious lifting body design as well! Nice view here guys!

It's gonna get a lot harder to take those pictures as CAC is fast at working erecting a 3m tall perimeter wall.

But they are called wall climbers for a reason right?

It's funny how you can read people decyphering what driving the J-31 fuselage on the bed of a truck in public meant yet they don't have a wall around one of China's top fighter developement and testing facilities.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it but over at CJDB pupu(one of the big shrimps) mentioned something cryptic about maybe new (more than one) J-20s coming. CAC seems to have been tricking watchers with the numbers with 2001 and 2002. Was there two prototypes with 2001 marked and was there a 2003 but it actually was 2002? If there is more than one new J-20 coming, they certainly can't hide it so secretly without a wall.

I really don't think so Mace, although they are gamey, that brick wall may knock them out contention in the PR war with the PLAN, thats not to bright, and really why the smoke and mirrors with numbers? The PLAN are going to get their funding and the PLAAF are going to be stuck playing games shuffling the same two or three airplanes. Shenyang are jumpin on it and making the Sun Shine in China, Better knock that wall down and build an observation deck, everybody else is getting their good toys out for Christmas, an there gonna make all the sales!

Well I don't think the wall is going to stop the dedicated with a truck or van to stand on top on but they will certainly stand out and easier for security to stop. The base being so close to the public without a wall it was probably harder to spot the "spies."
