It seems my post was deleted because discussing US sanctions against two sovereign nations is "political".

Regardless, every anti-Iran hater and imperialism apologist combined cannot delete the fact that the first Iranian oil tanker arrived in Venezuela's EEZ and is being escorted to shore. 4 more tankers to follow in the coming days.

Article because I know people like to see sources:

First Iranian oil tanker reaches Venezuela despite US threat

The vessel has arrived in Venezuelan waters, carrying 1.53 million barrels of gasoline, to help alleviate fuel shortages in the former oil-exporting nation. Tehran had warned of "consequences" if the US stopped the ship.

The first of five Iranian oil tankers reached Venezuelan waters late on Saturday to temporarily ease the South American nation's fuel crunch, despite a warning from the US.

The oil tanker Fortune entered Venezuela's exclusive economic zone at around 7.40 pm local time on Saturday (Sunday 0140 UTC), without facing any immediate signs of obstruction from the US. Government officials celebrated the arrival as the tanker sailed through the Caribbean waters towards the Venezuelan coast.

"Iran and Venezuela have always supported each other in times of difficulty,” Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza said. "Today, the first ship with gasoline arrives for our people,” he said.

Venezuela state television showed images of naval ships and aircraft preparing to meet the tanker. Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino Lopez had said the country's armed forces would welcome the five tankers and escort them into the port through its maritime territory.

Fortune's location was confirmed by Miami-based Caracas Capital Markets using ship-tracking technology. Clavel, the last of the five tankers, is three-and-a-half days behind Fortune.

Earlier this week, Maduro appeared on TV vowing a tough response to a possible US interference of the tankers. "They want to enslave us,'' he said Thursday. "If you want peace, you must be prepared to defend it.”

"screw off" first wash your mouth with soap, then maybe i will buy you an ice cream. naughty boy !

your view of international relations is very primitive and ignorant. any such conflict is a peripheral issue resolved by high level meetings between Russia and Turkey (and Iran) to avoid direct conflict (successfully). Minor/no impact on Rus-Turk relations, let alone on Rus-Iran weapons deals.

Venezuela sent a military escort for the first Iranian oil tanker "Fortune" once it arrived to Venezuela's EEZ:

2 Venezuelan Navy ships will be used to escort the oil tanker(s): PC-23 Yekuana and PC-21 Guaiqueri. They are newly Spanish-built ocean patrol ships with a 2500 ton displacement that cost €325m each and 4 ships in that class entered into service in the Venezuelan Navy in 2011-12.

Venezuela also has low numbers of SU-30MK and F-16A/B fighter jets available to be used.

I read somewhere there was supposed to be 5 tankers. Did all 5 already arrived?

The first Iranian oil tanker "Fortune" has arrived. The video is showing footage from Venezuela Navy of the Fortune tanker arriving in Venezuelan waters. There are 4 other Iranian oil tankers on their way also - they are behind Fortune and are all due to arrive in the next 3 days. :)

I will try to post about the other 4 as they arrive as well. ;)

I see. Guess it is not totally clear yet. Although not understanding why the US is trying to insert itself between 2 sovereign nations.

It is just disgusting behavior.

US thinks they can decide what country can trade with what country. What countries are allowed basic goods like medicine or fuel, and what countries are not allowed basic goods. All while invoking 'freedom of navigation' when they send their military ships across the world.

But Iran warned the US that if they took any illegal action against these tankers, Iran would respond. After Iran responded to the illegal seizure of Adrian Darya by the Brits by seizing Stena Impero, the threat is credible, so US has not acted yet. But 4 more ships to go...

Most important priority is to help Venezuela fix their oil refineries. Problem is Venezuela has heavy/sour crude oil, must be refined before it can be used domestically. But Venezuela refineries are out of operation because of US sanctions targeting them, so Venezuela cannot refine oil for domestic use and has to import.

Similar story in Iran: US sanctioned Iran's oil industry and anyone that tried to supply it with even basic repairs/materials. So, Iran was not able to refine oil for domestic use and had to import gasoline. But that was about 10 years ago, since then Iran managed to independently fix its refineries.

Now Iran exports refined oil to Venezuela to help it with its short-term fuel crisis and also exports equipment and help to Venezuela to help them to fix their refineries as well. (This is what the US is complaining about - Venezuela paying Iran for this work in gold bars, like it is any of their business. They also don't mention how the Bank of England stole Venezuela's gold being stored there, but that's another story.)

So Iran is providing short term and long term help for Venezuela to counter US sanctions against their oil industry (which has caused huge fuel shortages for civilians). :)

So essentially Iran and Venezuela are helping each other economically and for humanitarian purpose. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.
