You mean the one in post #555 above from the parade rehearsal?

I'm also not sure which uniform with white dots you are talking about.

edit: I see the uniform with the white dots in your picture, but do we have any pictures of the entire uniform (such as being worn, or the set etc?).
I also don't know which parade rehearsal picture you're talking about which suggests that they've chosen a different pattern to the ones that by78 had posted above.

Are you saying that the uniform is the same as the one in the posts above (#556, #541 etc), but merely with a different pattern?

No I meant like this pattern, but badlands colour scheme.

Wire guide (?) on the helmet, also note the small accessory rail on the side of the helmet. There's a detachable folio (for maps?) on his chest. The collar looks interesting too. Rank insignia is probably buried somewhere in there, or that rectangular spot on the tactical vest (chest area) could be some kind of velcro attachment for an insignia. I personally like PAP's way of attaching insignias to upper arms.

The rail system and wire are clearly connected the system continues all the way to where a NGV helmet would be attached.
This pattern was not inducted in the end. The one at the parade rehearsal is similar to the one we have seen before with the white dots, but a different color.

Look at the soldier circled in red here. Look at his helmet he has a device attacked that seems the same color.

So I think we are seeing a power system and digital vision system akin to what the US is trying with Hololens.
Night vision goggles and Digital displays with cameras and the like are fairly heavy due to batteries and mounting a digital device to the head is awkward. Even some combat helmets have caused issues for wearers neck after all the Human body didn’t evolve with a set of antlers. So you have to try and keep the weight of a helmet and devices down. Fortunately modern electronics have kept dropping weight and today a heads up display can be fitted into a pair of glasses. However those glasses need power and the cameras in them are not really Night vision types which still need some size and weight.
Mounting a system around the helmet like this can allow some of the weight to be balanced. And power to be pulled from pack else where on the body like the back pack frame.

The pattern in the first image is in use as the new PLA work/garrison uniform yes.

However do we have evidence that the actual new PLA field uniform/combat uniform will use the same pattern?

Maybe I've missed it, but I haven't seen a new field uniform/combat uniform having that kind of pattern yet... unless you're suggesting that because the new work/garrison uniform uses that pattern, then the new field uniform/combat uniform should use the same pattern?

Just things I have gathered from rumour mill on weibo that the camouflage at the rehearsal was the "snowflake eggplant" pattern but in a desert colour scheme. I think it makes sense going by the way type07 uniforms are (same pattern, different colour).

Okay, if it's based on the rumour mill then fair enough.

I thought that there was some picture evidence of the new combat uniform using the same pattern which I had missed or something.

edit: though until we have picture evidence of just what the new combat uniform is like (assuming they show it during the parade), I think it's also quite plausible that the field/combat uniform and garrison/work uniform could have different patterns.

Well looking at the photos there does seem to be a resemblance between the patterns
The garrison Snowflake eggplant and combat Snowflake poppies.

There also seems to exist a standard called GJB 4300A-2012, but I'm not sure if that's supposed to replace or complement the 2002 standard. I wasn't able to find much for it, but there is

The one on the right says it's "Special level, assisting defense", and it's capable of defending against 7.62x54R API. Does that mean it is supposed to be used in conjunction with some other body armour?
