Well, it's the reason.
Mk.1A is meant to finally become just that - up-to-date, working Indian fighter design, delivered on time.
Being a good match to JF-17 blk. III within a couple of years of its introduction in PAF is an achievement.

That's a major development, and there is no reason to hiss about it.
They will need to build 50 a year now. So many fighter needed.

aesthetics are not a concern when designing a fighter jet, but Tejas seems to have been crafted with an eye towards aesthetic appeal.
This is just pure Jai Hind. Literally no aircraft designer has "aesthetic appeal" on their mind at any point during the design phase. Why are you even making these absurd claims? Also "aesthetic appeal" has literally zero value on a freaking combat aircraft. What are you gonna do? Make your enemies commit seppuku with how pretty the Tejas is?

I didn't imply that a fighter jet is designed for aesthetics, I was simply praising the sleek appearance of the Tejas. It gives off a futuristic vibe in its design.
