lol the Indian media has no credibility and does not require debunking. One can automatically assume they are lying.
I do agree with you that Indian media do not have much credibility.
But besides that Any reason why Russia decided to keep the lease instead of withdrawing the sub?

On the part of Russia, anything to publicly indicate or confirm betrayal by India would have political implications that harm the broader arms trade relationship. Given China's growing lead in arms, Russia has no alternative growth markets of serious scale aside from India. I would also question whether the sub involved is a stripped down "export" version of the original Russian design. Just as the Americans neuter and leash most of their exported high-end arms, (e.g. significantly inferior armor and munitions packages for tanks, software controls in fighter jets giving veto power to the Americans, etc.), I imagine Russia would have done the same.

Peeling back over the bad journalism, so the US overtly provided ISR support to India over the clash and has made it public now. Seems like they are forcing India to be bundled with them as additional pressure on China.

Does that mean China now has the right to blind overflying American satellites on disputed territories?

No, I think the submarine was simply provided as is. It is just that it is neither the latest generation of its Akula type, like the modernized variants with more quieting like the Vepr submarine (K-157), nor it was the Yasen. Still it was one of the most advanced attack submarines the Russians had in service back then when the lease was arranged. Back then there was no Yasen. It is quite telling I think that the next submarine that the Indians are supposed to lease will be another Akula, probably without modernization even, not a Yasen.
As the Indians continue buying more weapon systems from the US, right now all their armed services are using some US systems, I think the Russians will start not cooperating with them nearly as much to prevent tech leakage. Unless it is an ongoing program.

The US even brazenly sided not to mention carelessly with India over it's border dispute with China.

They're egging India to pick a fight with China for obvious reasons.

Both Russia and China respect the immense power of the American Empire and its alliance network. Vertical escalation against the US is empty talk.

The most realistic response by either Russia or China is horizontal escalation via Iran because the US and Iran are likely to fight a war within the next 5 years. The US takes seriously any boost given by Russia or China in the capabilities of Iran because the Iran War will be directly fought by the US military, not through proxies like in Ukraine or Asia.

While not discounting the possibility, this one reads like a bravado laden propaganda skit.

I mean...this is the summary for the article. It's like reading the back of a comic book cover!

Wasn't the 2022 clash in December the same one that we've been getting hints about from Chinese side saying powered exoskeleton troops were involved handing out a bone shattering beating, which the Indian media reported as PLA troops utilizing "monkey style" martial arts and had to circulate an obviously non-winter video to make themselves feel better?

That clash?

You should have led with “wasn’t it the clash that Indian officials tried to downplay as not serious till Ajai Shukla spilled the beans on seven Jawans hospitalized for injuries”?

Yeah, the article was pretty poorly written and reeks of false proclaimatins of victory, I was more interested in the possibility that the US actually stepped in and gave the Indian side Intel.
