Not like anyone should take any of those claims seriously. Just Indians trying to pass off their abysmal maintenance practices onto China. They are a constant security concern for India especially in the northeast part. But it's the first time I've heard anyone claiming them having MANPAD access.
Global times could have used Taiwan media's own reporting as a rebuttal.
There may have been a malfunction with the Navigation systems or other underlying electronics. The weather in that area, as the deluge of Indian news outlets shout, was apparently very foggy. The terrain was pretty rough too. It is also likely that the helicopter pilots erred in navigation and piloting, with the adverse weather affecting visibility.India must have one of the worst maintainance & repair issues with their military hardwares. Even the VIP’s have to travel with constant fear of falling down from the sky. And yet still indian netizen have audacity to point fingers at others saying its this copy, that copy, china product junk etc.
You won't stop these Jai Hinds from jumping on the China hate wagon. This incident happened two thousand km away from China. They want to portray china as this all powerful evil country and at the same time be very weak against their countries. I don't get the logic. If true shouldn’t they just give up right now because China has the means to magically make helicopters crash hundreds of miles away from its territory? Imagine what China could do in war time.
Be afraid Chellaney, be very afraid.
Also, awesome post by Global Times.

Taiwan's own investigation determined it was a combination of weather and crew error.
I can't recognize him without the park ranger hat. Is that him for sure?
There are actually some people who think India has unreleased footage from Ladakh. This clearly shows they can't stop from leaking a video - they can't even hold it in for a single unit of Planck time.
Does it matter? He is dead for sure, and his body would look like that or worse.I can't recognize him without the park ranger hat. Is that him for sure?
