Honestly, the TEDBF feels surplus to requirements (HAL and its suppliers will probably get sufficient localization experience from the Tejas Mk2, the whole thing kind of feels as if the PLAAF asked for a twin engine J-10 in 2005), would make better sense to locally build the Rafale instead (even if only ever using just knockdown kits).

Instead, after the Mk2 is finished, go all in on the AMCA, with some foreign consulting partner (LM?).

The TEDBF is for the Indian Navy not The Air Force.
