But you can bet the Indians will get the Su-57E.

It is still kind of early to export the J-35AE. It barely entered service in the PLA. Who knows what issues the initial variant will have. Maybe in a couple of years.

You can bet those 100 Rafales will take like a decade to be delivered if they ever come at all. China can produce new J-10CE for Pakistan or maybe refurbish Chinese ones if they become necessary in a hurry.

Later this decade then Pakistan can get the J-35AE.

I think the Rafale is a pretty good fighter jet, and it's a good match for India's needs. The main problem with it is that it's way too expensive for what capabilities it offers. It's also overhyped, but that's not really a problem with the plane itself.

I'm not seeing a whole lot of acceptance here. The article even notes that the J-35A doesn't have a gun so why would it stick around after it has fired off its PL-15s? Are we to assume that a J-35A would have an air superiority load out of 2x PL-15 and 2x PL-10? Whether the Rafale is better at WVR combat is irrelevant because the fight will never get that close unless the Rafales somehow manage to pull off an ambush. Also the whole "we will survive the PL-15s because SPECTRA will protect us" thing just stinks. Here's another hint: if you ever see the words "Proven in Operation Sindoor" in an article, you know that it's going to be BS.

The Indians used the Rafale in Operation Sindoor more like a ground attack aircraft. For that I suppose it is ok. But obscenely expensive.

You can buy like 3x Su-35 for the price of one Rafale. Just pathetic really. The Rafale is a medium sized aircraft the size of a MiG-29.

Probably not since they’ll have to deal with PL-16/17 going forward.

Indigenous weapons arent that big of a deal as hyped. Vietnam used imported stuff to fight off bigger guys. Even big countries in ww2 imported stuff.

One reason it's hyped is a reaction to China. Maybe Jai Hinds forgot conveniently but I rember when the rafales was hyped against beating the j20 so easily. China indigenous weapons were seen as made in china crap that would never beat premium quality western stuff.

It's only after China proved its own made stuff is in fact quality, suddenly this indigenous stuff became hyped. That's India for you. Everything is a trend.

Can't fight large scale war with imported equipment and munitions. Attrition will be a factor in a real war. Limited imported stuff will be used up quickly and then you have no option but to surrender.

Apperarently, India only has enough ammunition to fight a war for 10 days. That is what depending on imports does to you. You can't fight a protracted war.

As long as India depends on imports, it will always be a third rate power no matter how big its population or GDP is.

According to this article, Tiny rafale with 2 engines has 1850 KM combat radius vs J-35 only having 1200 KM, when J-35 is significantly bigger. Yeah, this is the kind of terrible claims Indians make when they compare whatever India has with the PLA and somehow make themselves come out on top.

That is completely false.

India uses it correctly like any 5 year old would.

It's their cope, not carry Meteor, used only as attacker etc.

This is in addition to the fact where in the coming years, the J-20/A/S, J-35A and even the 6th-gens won't even going to be the first PLAAF warplanes which the Jai Hind Rafales will face against - It will be the various types of UADFs which would br available in greater numbers, having superior kinematic performances, and be more acceptable to attrition than their overpriced and precious Rafales, among other attributes.

Let alone the fact where the IAF only possess subpar AEW&C capabilitiy, combined with laughable ELINT, ECM and ESM capabilities to speak of. Coupled with , I don't see how they are going to fare any better for the foreseeable future.
