It's easy, Indian luxury car sales is a Chinese rounding error.

Edit. I just googled it. 2021 BMW, Audi and Mercedes sold 22700ish cars in India. In 2021 BMW alone sold 816000 cars in China. So ya, India is a rounding error.

Not sure what you mean by super cars, since it's not really well defined. I don't think my neighbor would ever drive his R8 India, would ruin that baby.
That’s not my point
saying that no one can afford Luxury cars in india because per capita GDP is less than 2000 USD is stupid
India has 3rd highest number of billionaires in the world after US and China

Yeah, it does seem like there's not a lot of Chinese that bashes India. They mostly bash US and Japan for their hostile moves, sometimes South Korea for the petty cultural stuff. The Chinese media tries not to inflame anti-India sentiments by default, except during periods of border clashes between the two countries.

Most user here aren't Bangladeshis or Pakistanis however, they're just pro-China so they treat India as an enemy, and others are just sick of some Indian nationalist's delusions of grandeur or arrogance.

Personally, I wish India and China to be strategic partners instead of fighting each other over sphere of influence or becoming pawns in a geopolitical chessboard. Both civilization have suffered under colonialism, and have a rich history, so its really sad to see that they're not able to team up against the colonial powers that have stolen countless amounts of wealth from them.
A lot of India bashing by Chinese is in response to the downright delusional (and quite frankly hilarious) levels of jingoism espoused by Jai Hinds.

Many Indians have an optimistic, half glass-full yet somewhat realistic outlook on their country's development. They are patriotic, but also unafraid to admit to India's shortcomings - of which there are many. The bashing certainly isn't directed at them.

Then there's the 'India Supapowa 2020 Brahmos missile eviscerate entire PLA' crowd. It's really really hard not to make fun of these types. Especially when, as an ethnic Chinese, you've personally witnessed the rise of your motherland into a nascent superpower - but only through decades of economic development, sustained technological breakthroughs, gradual reforms and of course a sh*tload of hard work by the Chinese people themselves.

That's the problem I have with Jai Hinds. They want to reap the rewards but refuse to acknowledge that those rewards do not come without a ridiculous amount of hard work and over a long period of time. Case in point: it took China ~40 years to build a world-class Indigenous MIC. What has India been doing that entire time? Importing shiny toys from Russia and Europe.

Honestly, these Jai Hinds give India a really bad name and it is completely understandable why they get made fun of.

Despite how flawed GDP is, it is still a better measure than somehow basing a country's economy by the number of its billionaires.

What i have observed in India is that there policymakers are lunatic and that’s the reason why india failed to create manufacturing hubs like shenzhen
They tried to replicate shenzhen in Noida and Gurugram (close to Delhi) these two towns are completely landlocked lack water and only a stupid would think of setting up a manufacturing plant there
The best region to replicate shenzhen are actually Bihar , Jharkhand and Bengal these areas are rich in minerals , water and most important close to Kolkata port
And on top of that the national waterway one which closes in Bay of Bengal also passes via this region (just like the Yangtze River in China)

Yeah but there is significant number of rich people in india who can afford to buy luxury cars not as much as China or USA but still significant
But isn't thay misleading because India's population is way higher than Germany or Russia or HK. So the number of rich people per capital is much lower. I would expect there to be more rich people in India did just based on their population. With 140 billionaires in a population of over 1.2 billion, doesn't that show the wealth disparity?

What I'm trying to say is the average Chinese person and the median Chinese person is much richer than a Indian. I don't care if India have the most billionaires in the world, if 1 billion people is starving, it is still a failure.

A high income disparity is not good for the country no matter how much Bezos and gates want you to believe it is.

Jai Hind delusional man, no one was suggesting in their right mind that none in India can afford super duper western luxurious cars, what was expressed and rightfully so is that India's market meaning consumer buyers are not yet paid high enough to be able to gobble up or even replace the Chinese market for the simple basic arithmetic (something that you folks are supposed to be great at) that GDP per capita of India isn't up there yet and yes it's at approximately $3000 more or less. If this wasn't the case, almost all western companies would have literally lining up in droves to invest in India and will bend over back wards whatever any Indian government would demand. The same can be said with their military budget, their infrastructure budget etc....What's so hard for you to understand? or are you choosing to be obtuse, and stop being coy with you being a Jai Hind because you sound like one, chat like one, heck you probably are one and there is absolutely nothing wrong with being one.

I have never denied that an average chinese is wealthier than an average indian and an average American is wealthier than an average Chinese that’s not my point
