From the article, "Yee-King Ho, known as 'Fion' was a humanitarian worker at CAMFED International".
Most probably a sympathizer and supporter for the rioters if not one herself.
She was unhappy in London.
So she seems to be in London not because of free choice, but more probable because of forced circumstance.
.
It would not be surprising if she was a sympathizer. However, her politics were not mentioned, so I don't think it is totally fair to assume.
She could have firebombed police stations and stabbed police back in 2019 and the British tabloids will mention none of it. If she was struggling so badly why TF didn't she return home? Or maybe she was one of those brainwashed roaches who were on the run and burnt all bridges, and thought she'll be thrown into a seepeepee dungeon the moment she lands in HK airport. She would rather off herself than return home, I say she was a roach...
As I said above, it is possible she thought that way. That being said, it said she was overseas for much of 2019.
She might have been ashamed of her struggles. Or maybe she didn't want her family to worry.
As for the media, when have you ever see them NOT mention how rioters are "heroes", "freedom fighters", "living in total fear of Chinese agents", etc. etc. None of that was mentioned.
