As much as it irritates me, I can see why China didn’t strip those people of their Chinese citizenship is allowing them to return.
Some, maybe even most of them could turn out to be the biggest supporters of Beijing in the future now that they have seen first hand the vast gulf between the reality and the BS western MSM have been brainwashing them with.
Their first hand accounts of life in the UK will be far more effective and impactful in waking their friendship and family groups from western MSM brainwashing indoctrination than anything China’s state media could ever hope to achieve.

The thing about conviction rate is that most courts only take cases that carry some form of sentence, although the exact sentence is negotiated there and might be rather minor.
Rather than conviction rate it is more important to look at total number of convictions.

If these are the kind of "Chinese" were chosen to run China, then all the China collapse story would have been fulfilled a long time ago. No wonder they want China to become a western style democracy so that they can have some of these bozos run the country to ensure that itll never rise to her potential.
This person's thinking clearly show how disconnected they are mentally, emotionally, and physically from reality. They have bought into a fiction that by bringing chaos to HK, China they're bringing "freedom" and democracy. Freedom from what exactly? Freedom to commit violent actions without any consequences? No place on the planet exist. Democracy? For what exactly? To bring about the change in terms of creating more housing, more jobs, better security and protection, but as we can already witness from one of these bozos they are literally clueless children who can't even live off an almost £1 Million that most people would wish to have, how are these bozos expect to even know how to run a country.
The west itself doesn't know what it wants.
These people are indeed bozos, but what do you think happens if you give them the keys to the most powerful country on Earth and tell them you can do whatever you want to do? How many of these bozos would actually remain subservient to the West once you let them into China's control room?
Instead of selling out to the west, they will just become populists and if there's enough bozos, they will become bozos of the same type as Imperial Japan, which these bozos already worship.
They will run China into the ground trying to fulfil a bozo imperialist agenda, but not before wrecking a fuck ton of shit, including much of the west and especially the western vassals in Asia.
