It doesn't absolve the parents of setting up the next generation for failure in this regard. The parents are either extremely unaware given their other merits or more than likely decided to take the tradeoff usually for economic/professional/personal opportunity.

Problem is I see so many Chinese come here and start joining churches and other crazy stuff just to fit in. They make their kids do it too. Out of all the Chinese kids I grew up with, I was the only one that didn't go to church and didn't believe in Taiwan independence.

It's irreparable from that point.

An interesting article from the pro-Beijing South China Morning Post. Not related to HK security matters, but perhaps shows that continuing complaints about the HK administration having the wrong priorities - business over people - have some merit.

In the year of mass protest and rioting, I never saw any agenda besides "china evil". Can you please enlighten us with some of the solutions that the pan-dems/protesters/terrorist had in regards to fixing the inequalities in hk?
