I would not be surprised that there are NON-Government people from the US/West that are funding or encouraging or would fund a violent uprising in Hong Kong/XJ/Tibet. Just reading the comments of r/hongkong , r/<every subreddit of any topic>, breitbart, foxnews, thedrive/warzone, twitter of the pro independence hk idols.. there are definitly some very angry people that are against the natural rise of China or been brainwashed to think anything with "Communist" is evil.
To be honest apart from CIA, NED and FLG the current DPP govt here in Taiwan is also trying to do the same thing.

I wonder when Americans are going to come in and save Vitasoy sales so they don't have grovel to Chinese consumers. Maybe they can use Hong Kongers as examples of masculinity to trick Americans into thinking drinking soy milk makes one masculine.

Back track after falling stock price and mainland shops withdrawing theur products.

Blame it on a communication employee. Yeah right. The fact the brothers were all "pro-democracy" has nothing to do with it then.

Just like what other members have suggested, the paramount thing is to purged hk education system from kinder to universities
these are the lairs of these cockroaches

Hong Kong needs to crack down on these harassment. It is outrageous that these people dare to undermine the due process.

These college students deserve to be kicked out for supporting terrorism.

Student union leaders make apologies for glorifying the terrorist attack. Must be something to do with the national security law.

They were wearing black shirt with yellow slogan. The apology is made on Friday at 1 am. 5 demands not one less. Nothing sincere about this apology. It is just that they were forced to do so and finally realized the repercussions would be very serious. But they still are trying to look defiant.

I appall their stupidity. They're in over their head. What kinds of morons would think voicing support for a terrorist act would be overlooked?
Why doesn’t the university just expel them? I imagine any western university would. Something like “we respect freedom of expression, but glorifying violence does not align with the standards we set bla bla bla”

Problem solved for both sides. It's only HK$250.

It's not the students that's the problem. It's the universities that's the problem. And it all starts with the education systems that allows religious schools.

Meanwhile over in England, they are condemning the use of laser on one goalkeeper during the euro football semi-final.

I think our friend Nury got it about right

"Gotta laugh! So much outrage today about one weaponized laser pointer in Europe this week but when hundreds were weaponized in Hong Kong it was a different story!"

Anyway with the success of England, China should exploit this and divide and conquer tactic of the "Great" British empire. Lol

You touched the root problem.

The reason why the university hadn't expelled them is because the university supports them.

How do you think they have become student "leaders"? Anyone who knows how the student elections work is that the University is often supporting these processes.

And how did these students got leaders? Because other students voted for them.
So this means that the whole university and education system is rotten to the core. They have brainwashed the younger generation to such a degree that these "students" openly support terrorists with implied support from the education system.

This is the root cause. The education system is corrupt and rotten to the core. This is what happens when you let these tumours to grow uncontrollable.

Lets see how China deals with the entire younger generation of HK being brainwashed...

If those universities have the gut to do anything, then we wouldn't witness the siege at PolyU. Beside, many of the administrators and senior management probably are pro-West. The school board probably is the only place where the government can rely upon.

Expelling them would be only way to deter any further aggression from these students and put end of such nonsense. Compare HK with Macau, you can see Macau is much more proactive in curbing extreme element.
