Hong-Kong Protests

I am afraid that these groups are so decentralized then it would be hard to root them all out. For this particular group, it is run by a husband and wife team that is senior management at a HK university. They basically funded and recruited all the people. If these two people are taking orders from overseas, then they might not have knowledge of other groups.

Thats clearly by design and is a classic terrorist tactic. However such structures also limit the effectiveness of individuals cells in a safe society without ready access to weapons and careful controls on dangerous substances.

I would not be surprised if this cell was rumbled because their purchases of bomb making ingredients flagged as suspicious.

They tried to steal chemical from the school lab and got caught. A teacher gave them the instruction and location of the chemical before hand.

I don't know if anyone here has actually handle explosives (I have, as a scout) or read this:

Explosive are fucking hard and dangerous to make, particular process necessary to make plastic explosives. Energetics are nothing to fuck with.

These mofos are more likely to blow themselves up than anything else. Unfortunately Hong Kong, being as dense as it is, these guys are unlikely to be mixing it in some cabin in the woods, and likely to take their neighbors with them.

I wonder when Americans are going to come in and save Vitasoy sales so they don't have grovel to Chinese consumers. Maybe they can use Hong Kongers as examples of masculinity to trick Americans into thinking drinking soy milk makes one masculine.
Wasn’t there a post showing cockroach condoms posting comments expecting Vitasoy stock prices to soar due to their support of the attacker?

I really hope they followed their own advice and sank their life savings into Vitasoy stocks. But knowing them, their life savings probably only amounted to the few thousand dollars of NED money they earned from rioting.

Police on Wednesday stepped up patrolling in Hong Kong’s busy Causeway Bay shopping area, arresting a young woman with a box cutter in her bag, as they reacted to calls on the internet for people to “mourn” the passage of a week since the death of a man who stabbed an officer in the back before killing himself.
Officers at scene of July 1 crime in Causeway Bay search 26-year-old woman who turned up with flowers, and arrest her after finding box cutter in her bag
Wow she was mourning the July 1 attacker who died after he stabbed the police. Lol

Cockroaches everywhere. Jail please.
"Muh freedom of speech and expression". You mourn a criminal and a terrorist, you go straight to jail

Jail isn't the issue, you can jail (or as you suggested before, execute) all the people you want, but think about it this way...
The cockroach faction is making these arrests out to be a freedom of speech issue now... this is ridiculous.

Their portion of society has become so rotten as to glorify a cold-blooded (attempted) killer.

The mental gymnastics they are jumping through ("people have become so desperate to resort to this.." etc.) eclipses any sense of basic morals/ethics/human decency.

If cops were operating some kind of death squads executing rioters on the street, maybe that argument can be made, but there is nothing like that going on.

In theory, with freedom of speech, I can go to WTC in NYC and put a wreath that says "In memory of Osama Bin Laden" and call him a martyr. Technically this is not illegal, so I shouldn't be arrested, but I would also expect to be beaten half to death. Yet, this is the argument they are making.

Why aren't they asking themselves "How have our morals become so corrupted as to support wanton violence?"

To me, I think they should be sent to the poor country side of Mainland to do community building work vs. jail. Let them learn a few things:
-How easy their life in HK is
- The sort of poverty that PRC is trying to alleviate
- What it really means to help each other in society

I remember reading step-by step instructions of making fertilizer explosives and thermite on the internet back when I was in highschool, and they don't seem that hard to make. Of course plastic explosives are a whole new matter.
