Welcome to our members modus operandi. Selective memory loss and cherry picking, couple with an healthy dash of mental gymnastics of the Olympian variety. And Presto, you have your ANTI-CCP narratives.

Meanwhile the rest of us carry on in the real world:

Remember the lost eye girl? Will, remember her taking out an injunction to stop the police obtaining her medical records! Lol

Here, she lost another court case, and have to pay cost! You can't make this sxxt up.

Hong Kong and other so-called 'pro-democracy' movements are overromanticized by the media to sell them to a wider audience (I would imagine for both influence and profit). You can see that organizers in HK were keenly aware of this and put a great deal of attention into artwork, branding, and merchandising. By this point, everyone has seen the artwork of the curvaceous protestor with her comically large bust or the “Revolution of our time” black banners. This kind of iconography along with the consistency of the banners/flags/T-shirts/logos really gives a clear focal point for audiences to attach to, a quality like Coca-Cola's red can.

What the media inevitably fails to mention is that there is a less than savoury aftertaste after the first bite. HK, Ukraine, Libya, Xinjiang, all of these “democracy” or “freedom” movements have more similarities with ethnocentric fascist movements than democratic ideals.

It’s really scary because if one actually has any desire for actual democratic institutions, then this totally works against it by promoting fake news narratives and legitimizing extremist ideals.

Any belief that anti CCP sentiment forms some kind of supermajority in the population is simple fiction. Most people in any country, they don't care who is in power, they just want to be able to live their life, have a roof over their head, enough to eat, etc. These struggles are universal regardless of the government.

Rats leaving "not" sinking ship. Their conviction to the Hong Kong cause is so strong. That they will not stay and fight their corners. Except for the ordinary folks who can't leave. All such used condoms. And where is the western white knights they expected to come and rescue them?

Take that traitor Jimmy Lai. Officially he's a FULL British subject. With full British passport. So where's that big mouth, Dominic Rabbs? He shouted loud enough when a "British woman" is in Iranian jail. So why ain't he out there batting for this traitor Lai? Expendable that's what. Just like a used condom.

Outspoken Hong Kong pastor and head of Baptist Convention leaves city over national security law fears

  • Reverend Lo Hing-choi says his abrupt departure on Tuesday was prompted by the erosion of Hong Kong’s unique freedoms
  • ‘Hong Kong currently is not just being torn apart, but there is a dislocation created by those in power,’ he says in a piece published in the Christian Times

Such a brave revolutionary, running away at their times of need.

Just like this guy. Stiring up trouble for his flocks. Hong Kong and indeed China should pass a law that automatically making it treasonous for any person to meet foreign forces without official business.

If these people want to leave then thats ok. The CPC should also not complain that much.

Its better the CPC take this is a (painful) lesson on what happens when you let harmful things and practises grow uncontrollably. The national security law should have been imposed on HK a LONG LONG TIME AGO. Preferably immediately after the HK handover from Britain to China

This is what happens when you let "hidden" dangers foster for so long. Xi is very good though, he solved a lot of these dangers.

Corruption, western loving CPC members and leaders, western worshipping aming the citizens (significantly reduced now), South China Sea, HK (better late than never), Billionaires power, Xinjiang (should have been properly integrated a long long time ago)

Mauco is next? I have seen some reports that the central gov has started to pay close attention in order to spot any foreign interference there.

Macau is not much of an issue. The city has already returned in "spirit" since 1967 long before the actual return in 1999. The pro-mainland trade unions had effectively took over control of Macau since 12-3 incident. ROC diplomatic mission was shut down and KMT influenced schools were closed. Portuguese governor became a figurehead, more so after carnation revolution in 1974.

During the height of unrest in Hong Kong, Macau was pretty calm with very little spillover despite its close proximity. From my personal experience, Macau locals are far less likely to discriminate against mainlanders. Unlike in HK, they don't treat you differently for using mandarin instead of English or Cantonese. The ideological resistance to central government and the colonial attachment to its former master are much weaker.

Besides the control of gambling licenses is very effective at keeping the local elites in line. Even though the corruption crackdown has lowered gambling industry's profitability, Macau still is the only location in PRC where gambling is legal.

I'm still waiting for China's economy to collapse because Hong Kongers are China's economy and since they're fleeing or in hiding some where not being paramount to China's economy by working and being a critically crucial cog the Chinese economic machine, where's the epic disaster they claimed was going to happen without them?

HK was actually triggered very hard that Shenzhen passed them by GDP numbers.

Then they got double extra triggered when Xi visited Shenzhen for his Greater Bay Area program and for giving it extra powers for opening up. He basically said that Shenzhen is the model city and HK can go and sit it in its corner haha

I still fondly remember the SCMP opinion writers foaming at the mouth because Xi reduced the HK importance and elevated Shenzhen lol

Come on guys. You got to separate the populace in Hong kong. You just can't lump them together and happy to see all suffer. There are at least 50% of the populace that are true patriots. And they deserved the motherland's help and guidance. They don't deserve to suffer like those used condoms.

I'm sure China don't want to see the collapse of Hong Kong either.

It's is these condoms that needs to be purged from the system.

For those can't read Chinese. Basically a used condom wanted to leave Hong Kong but was born after 1997 and therefore not eligible for a BNO. Whereas his girlfriend's mother got a BNO passport. So he went on social media and asked for advise.

The rest is in English. Trust a good old Indian to come up with the solution. Lol
