Why is he controversial?

He gives RTHK a free pass to demonize the Hong Kong and HKPF. RTHK is government funded but in many instances it is as bias as appledaily. RTHK has openly mocked HKPF and insulted Hong Kong police. But Leung defended the reporters and RTHK.

Because under his watch, we have people like her as 'journalists' and he defended trash like her to his back teeth. Also under his watch, the Chinese flag in his head quarter was flying upside down!

This just go to show how much he value independence judgement, and so called freedom of the press!

I really can't stand Chinese attempts at romanticism aimed at the West. Milk Tea? They can't get that in England? Is that more important than the so-called freedom this guy fled to London for. Aragorn wouldn't have fled from a fight but the chicken chose to run and hide behind Milk Tea. When activist Harry Wu was active in the US, I would see him in interviews trying to sound like he was speaking poetry. It was such simplistic nonsense but to an American, it was sage wisdom. It's like the Dalai Lama and his infinite "wisdom". "Do not feel sad because then you will not be happy." Do you need the Dalai Lama to tell you that? It's something a child can up with. I remember when I was a kid there was a TV movie about some men that crash landed on this remote deserted island. These men find out that the island had already had another plane crash there before them. This was a missionary plane full of little girls and nuns. All the adults perished in the crash or died after from their injuries. So when these men come into the picture, these children are now beautiful dangerous Amazon-like women but with minds still in a child like state because there were no adults around. Insert Freud here. They talked like the Dalia Lama but because they weren't the Dalai Lama, they sounded like immature kids.

The fact that he calls himself "Aragorn" tells you all you need to know about him.

Nothing noble about being a traitor. Loki is a more suitable name.

Nah, Loki's still a god. He's more suitable as "Goblin" or "Kobold".
I am sorry but I think you are both wrong... like @solarz said Loki is a god, so no... and for goblin there are good and intelligent depictions so that’s an insult to goblins and kobold is like weredog... dogs are generally loyal so it doesn’t fit

The prefect one and fits in the theme of LOTR is Gríma Wormtongue the one that tried to influence the king to bring down the kingdom only to fail and run away back to his master!
