What a bunch of bullocks. But when the UK blocks CGTN its upholding media freedom?? China will need to double its efforts to expose Western double standards.

Wow that's quick, someone is actually waking up and seeing the world with clear eyes for a change.

Yes, all FIVE of them

Despicalable isn't it. Hypocrisy knows no boundaries.

I don't know about Spain, but Germany is still a US-occupied vassal state of the US. Sadly, the German establishment, media, etc. has been thoroughly infiltrated by transatlantic Quislings and US agents since the end of World War II. I hope Germany will be wise enough not to be dragged into conflict with China and/or Russia because their overlords in Washington DC and elsewhere demand them to do so. Make no mistake, China and/or Russia will defend themselves in face of aggression on part of the neocon/neolib US, and they will confront US vassal states if they have to.

I hope the true free world (i.e.:Russia, China and all non US vassal states) can rise to the challenge and confront and if necessary defeat the Neocon/Neolib threat that threatens the peace of our planet. Just like with 20th century fascists, appeasement does not work with 21st century fascists.

For Germany, the surveys actually show high levels of disillusionment amongst the general population.
Plus surveys of decision makers also show the same.

Hong Kong’s post-2019 lost generation

People are always asking why young people are the way they are in Hong Kong. You can ask them, but I doubt many know either. People who claim they know are most likely projecting their own feelings and preferences, their own politics and beliefs. If you admire our young rebels, you are likely yourself a critic of the Hong Kong government, our pro-establishment society and the central government, perhaps China in general. If you are critical of our youth, you are probably part of the local establishment, those who are for law and order, stability and prosperity.

In talking about our youth, we are really talking about ourselves. But here’s my two cents anyway because this is what I get paid for.
The best description of our young generation that I have come across wasn’t even written about us, or about this part of the world or this point in time. Hermann Hesse was probably thinking about the generation of the Weimar Republic when he wrote in Steppenwolf: “There are times when a whole generation is caught … between two ages, two modes of life, with the consequence that it loses all power to understand itself and has no standards, no security, no simple acquiescence.”

Hesse might as well be thinking about our young people today, those born in or after the 1990s, the so-called post-90s generation, caught between two eras, thrown into a historical circumstance they can hardly understand.

They have no experience of British colonialism or Chinese communism. They understand neither country nor the great transitions both nations are going through. One is in terminal decline yet still has enormous cultural capital to sell, while the other is on an inexorable rise but with a bad reputation.

Unlike many long-repressed peoples who have their own profound culture, religion or tradition to draw on spiritually, Hong Kong youth has nothing to rely on but shallow Canto-pop/K-pop culture, mixed with some Western notions whose tradition and history they barely understand.

There are no tangible political, intellectual or ethical standards, traditions or references to draw on when they protest in public, confront police, argue with politicians or treat ordinary people who disagree with them – hence the frequent grotesque violence of 2019.

Neither of the East nor of the West, sadly, our youth are like a clean slate on which people and governments with an agenda are only too happy to write their own messages and overwrite those of others.

And the scaremongering and demonizing continues! Oh yeah, let's compare, Hong Kong, the freest place in the world to the Berlin war. Yep that make sense. Oh, why do you hate us so?

From the Torygraphy otherwise known as telegraph

Sixty years after Berlin, is China putting up a ‘wall’ to confine the people of Hong Kong?

It remains to be seen whether the ladder the British government has extended will be enough.

It’s been 60 years since 15-year-old Jürgen climbed a rickety ladder leaning against the half-built Berlin Wall. This was the last gap in the East-West border, the last loophole.

That is not the question that is on my mind older brother.

What I question is the survival of British culture and worldwide.

When the hypocrisy is this rankle to logic and facts, along with common sense, no one is going to buy that message, especially the young who are by nature idealist given their age.

When the narrative sucks this bad, it won't survive. The young won't buy it.

If Brittan upholds western civilization, as the chattering class proudly claim, then why did the BLM movement that started in America run roughshod over London England?

That narrative from America that Black Lives Matter is far more powerful that Bumbling Bullshit CappersTalkers could ever produce. The same goes for all the tabloids, and associated capitalist scum.

LOL.

The narrative relies on people being brainless/clueless.

The talk of "Chinese people not being free" is total nonsense. We know this.

Simply put, many millions of Chinese people leave the the country for education or vacation and go back. If they were so afraid of "disappearing" or whatever, common sense would dictate not returning. However, since they do, we know this really is not a fear of 99% of the population. Obviously this extends to HK which is even more open than mainland.

Yet, any given article on China, there's how many comments talking about "great firewall", "uighurs", or whatever other talking point that gets regurgitated?

I thought this quite funny. But you need to able to speak Cantonese to see the joke. It basically says BNO die or not. Of course it must die. Lol

BNO是不是要死?
Not much difference between Canton dialect and Mandarin in this particular case. 45414 is "Shi Wu (Bu) Shi Yao Si" in Mandarin, "Xi Wu Xi Yao Sei" in Canton dialect (using Pin Ying spelling approximation though). :) The only perk is 5 Wu 无,it means the same No/Not in both dialect except Mandarin use Bu 不 in stead, understandable but both speakers. Pretty much like Chinese can understand Kanji in Japanese to some extent.
