Hong-Kong Protests

No guys.

First there's no such thing as a Hong Kong passport! There is however a CNO, a Chinese equivalent of a BNO. see mine

View attachment 68128

And people in Hong Kong can only apply for a CON or a BNO. for those born before 1997. After which only CNO is available. So those without proper FULL foreign passport can only get out of Hong Kong with either one of these two documents.

And if you applied for a BNO, you won't get a CNO. And visa versa. The records showed you have already got one travel document, and will not issue another one.

So all these BNO holders are stuck, and can't get out now as China don't recognise it at the point of exit.

For those outside, ie: students studying now, they can come back in with China's grace, and probably revoke BNO for a CNO immediate upon entry.

Anyone else. Mainly used condoms.

Tough luck.

Happy days!
But the passport wouldn’t really make a difference for HK residents permanent or otherwise... since they use HKID for leaving and entering HK and return home permit to go into China so the passport isn’t really needed when travel document is concerned...

I would say that so long as the person doesn’t act against the interest of the people it shouldn’t matter what passport they hold... I mean even people holding CNO might be just as pro-West... while people holding a full foreign passport / dual nationality can be just as pro-China... it might be a little too black and white to make such judgement based on passports alone as evident by some foreigners, who live in HK or China are very much pro-China... however I will make clear that governmental positions such as politicians, civil servants, judges etc are exceptions to my views above

What you said is very truth. Yes. In and out of Hong Kong only requires HKID. BUT to apply for BNO or CNO requires the same HKID. And a person would require either a CNO or a BNO to travel. Because the upon arrival in a foreign land, the HKID is no good as it isn't recognised.

So one must be travelling with HKID and a passport either BNO or CNO. And since when applying for said passport, you'll need your HKID. The authority would know what passport you intend to travel on.

So when you hand over your HKID at the airport, the authority will know you either process a BNO or CNO. As such, the authority could refused permission to leave on the ground you do not have a valid passport!

On the issues of whether you are pro China or a traitor. Yes I agree, the passport you hold doesn't decide your loyalties. And I or anyone else never suggested that. We are just saying that since China is not going to recognise the BNO. that's how they are/would administer it.

This notion of wealthy and educated HKers fleeing to Britain and taking their wealth and contributions with them is overblown.

Anyone who’s highly educated and rich already have, or could have, immigrated or obtained citizenship from Canada, US, Australia, etc. way before the rioting/crackdown took place. Many of those are living well overseas, and if they’re not, then they have likely returned to seek opportunities in HK and (more likely) Shenzhen or Shanghai.

Some people here act like there’s this huge barrier that the UK just busted down. That’s true, but only for those that weren’t desirable or qualify for Western immigration to begin with. And that kind of people are not going to move the needle for the UK. They are also not the future of HK and HK is not the future of China.

So let them leave, let them experience Western life. The UK is fading, and China’s star burns brighter every day. If they do better in London, all the more power to them. But what should be made clear is that they can’t enjoy the benefits of both sides. The time of dual citizenship is over.

This is either one ugly used condom, or a CON artist. Apparently he is looking for a nice young lady with a BNO to married so he could escape the tyranny of Hong Kong. LOL

If only he knows the cost of living in the U.K. would be so high.

FB_IMG_1612012979609.jpg

And the conditions thats needed to obtain full citizenship

FB_IMG_1612013323163.jpg

But of course he would not know any of these as he reads only hypocritical poison Apple daily. Look at this pointing fingers at Hong Kong government for putting barriers up, yet in Washington it is fine.

FB_IMG_1612013213402.jpg

And trash media like this that glorify in Hong Kong's past in participating in the commonwealth games. And longing for its return! Lol

Good riddance. Go find your new life in a decaying 'British Empire'. You'll find plenty of other refugees and destitute folks to compete for handouts or jobs.

Funny that for the title. SCMP would only interview one condom: Aby Wong. Where are the other BNO folks? I thought there would be a horde of them arriving in the UK. Anyway, already she is finding it hard to find a job there. Says she struggled because of the language (surprise, surprise). Such is fate of the brainless.

I can bet that this condom would try to find a career as an 'activist' later on. Can't do real work, so might as well milk the NED by spending time putting out anti-China stuff on social media. Or get interviews to give testimonials of 'CCP atrocities'.
