Just want to point this out. The methodology of this survey (taken in 2019 by the way), essentially amounts to asking people if they are racist. It is the second time the link has been posted.
Exactly. As I showed earlier, survey can be easily manipulated and skewed. And in this instance, it is very much likely to be skewed.
I'll try to explain why. Unlike you younger guys here. I remembered the 1992 British election when every poll had labour winning and some by quite a big margin.
And as we know, the Tories ended up winning that election. Now poll is basically a survey. How did they get it so wrong. Well, it transpire, after much findings, that the pollsters found that people were lying! Surprise surprise. Shock and horror! And the reasons they were lying was because they were ASHAME to admits they will vote Tory, as they don't want to be seen to be heartless and uncaring.
So if you're racist. Would you:
1/ Admit that you're racist
2/ Even know that you're racist.
The 2nd proposition is a serious one. A lot of people in the UK will always come out with the line: I'm not racist BUT.......
I know some of you may say we got no ideal how the survey was conducted. It's internet, over the phone or in person. But people can still lie even if the survey was on the internet with promises of anonymity because of the guilt factor.
In addition, as I pointed out earlier, the racist factor will increase exponentially as soon as the first migrants come knocking at the door. This is because most of the "non-racist" don't believe it's going to happen and it's happily towing the government line.
Having said that. The survey stated 15% of British don't want you as their neighbour speaks volumn. Basically every 6 houses you're going to encountered someone that doesn't and isn't going to like you because of the colour of your skin.
