Yes, I read the news. Which proves that you are really taking a political view.
Are you for real? taking a political view?? All national important decisions are made by politicians.

I predict few years back that US government would specifically use limiting semiconductor chips and semiconductor equipment to hinder China's growth. I made that prediction based on my political sense and understanding of US government and technology.

Likewise, post virus, I predict US government will go after China and make it pay.
It's all intertwined. If you cannot anticipate and predict, you most likely to fail. I never say I am a pure academic person.

So, what's your problem?

Interesting and valid discussion. But may be all postings in the last 2 pages should be moved to the Chinese Economy thread.

This is all noise and will never reached realization because as I said the American budget is funded by borrowed money and the reason why foreigner lend money at subbar interest is because they trust the american financial integrity meaning they will pay on time. Removed that where are they going to get the money? Plus China can nationalized all the american asset in china They did it in 1950's.

And should China also for demand compensation for H1 N! or Swine Flu ? How about Ebola ? You are opening pandora box here

My problem is that you are arguing on political grounds in trying to solve a technical problem rather than from a scientific approach.

If Huawei or China can not have chips from TSMC, than China should make sure no one else should have either, even if that needs to be bombed down. Same goes for Samsung ...Then we'll see who can raise the stake in this poker game.

OK, so that's how Michael Gove feels. How many people in the British Parliament agree with him and how many disagree? What is the official stance of the UK? During the G7, they sure didn't help the US blame China; they stood against the US.

People need to focus on the national level what is being communicated and how the nation responded to the COVID-19, NOT that there are certain politicians in a country that voiced such an opinion. You can't just pick one or a small minority of people and call that the country's reaction.
