You know why Vietnam is celebrating "Year of Cat" while others are in Year of Rabbit?
Answer: They used Latin alphabet to replace Chinese characters, and now they think 卯 (a year-measuring digit) is 猫 (cat) because they're spelled the same with Latin alphabet letters.
