F35B has a Combat Radius of between 868 and 935 km without refueling So assume 2 refuels one on ingress one on egress.

An English report criticizes the F-35 program

After Denmark last November, it is the turn of the United Kingdom to question the program of the fighter jet Lockheed-Martin F-35 and its acquisition by the country.
The House of Commons Defense Committee (HCDC) has investigated the United Kingdom's acquisition of Lockheed-Martin F-35B "Lightning II" stealth fighter jets. This monitoring body of the British Parliament has published a detailed and critical report. On the one hand he said he was disappointed by the answers obtained during the written and oral testimonies of the aircraft manufacturer Lockheed-Martin and officials of the British Ministry of Defense (MoD). The report was published a few days before the 14th F-35B destined for the United Kingdom was delivered to South Carolina, where the first British squadron was working on the new aircraft.
Repeated failures and additional costs:

The HCDC investigation was motivated by serious program failures and cost increases. Indeed, on the English side, there has been some concern about the revelations reported in the United States by recent reports from the Director of Operational Testing and Evaluation (DOT & E) and the Government Accountability Office (GAO).
According to this report, the HCDC stated that overall, its concerns "have not been mitigated" by Lockheed-Martin and the Department of Defense. The committee said that "the MoD's inability to provide adequate cost estimates for its F-35 purchases ... is totally unsatisfactory."

Moreover, the report reveals that the F-35B will not be able to communicate with the Navy's future ships or the "Typhoon II" Eurofighter in terms of data link. In fact, the
The Ministry of Defense will have to fund a program that allows the F-35 to transmit information from its secure multi-functional Advanced DataLink (MADL) to Typhoons and surface vessels.
Cyberwar and ALIS:

The report also confirms the fears already mentioned by the Israelis regarding the risks of being able to "hack" the centralized ALIS (Autonomic Logistics Information System) maintenance system in the United States.

However, the committee's report concedes that "assurances regarding the rigorous level of cyber-testing of the F-35 ALIS software are welcome, as is the assurance that the UK will have full and unhindered use. But the report asks Lockheed-Martin to clarify the level of protection in place for technical data collected by ALIS from the UK's F-35 fleet, including, if this data falls under the unlimited rights license from the United States Government.
Fleet limitation:

The UK will receive three more F-35Bs in Beaufort next year, and one more, its 18th overall in early 2019. Some of these planes will fly to the UK next summer.
In addition, the United Kingdom retains three trial and evaluation F-35Bs at Edwards AFB for the next three years.
To date, the United Kingdom has only purchased 18 F-35Bs. However, in January 2017, the Ministry of Defense has planned another 30 aircraft that are expected to be delivered between 2020 and 2025. The provision was 3 billion pounds, including initial support, or nearly $ 134 million per plane at the same rate. current exchange rate. The first 18 planes for the UK seem to have cost more than 150 million pounds ($ 200 million) each.

Initially the United Kingdom planned to acquire 138 F-35s. But, It seems today that this is unlikely. Next month, the Ministry of Defense is expected to reveal a new round of personnel and equipment reductions, just 26 months after a Strategic Defense and Security Review (SRHR) established a five-year budget. years at the start.
In fact, the UK could save on both acquisition and operating costs by purchasing conventional versions of the F-35A. This has long been the desire of the Royal Air Force, due to the greater range and the weapon load of the F-35A compared to the F-35B. Lockheed Martin has promised to reduce the recurring unit cost (URFC) of the F-35A to about $ 80 million. On the other hand, the budget cuts should also reduce the number of F-35s that will ultimately be purchased by the United Kingdom.

bad math! look, everybody shows capability, in my old Encyclopedia Brittanica, there was a great picture of a G-91 with all kinds of krap piled up around it, I was and am still very impressed...

The F-35 is a lifting, hauling fool, you hang in on, it will haul it,, that's amazing! but if you want to "nit-pik"?? Well you get to go stand in the corner with the "nay sayers",, there are only two lines,, PRO or CON?? I guess you'll be drinking your "evil Brew" with the CON's in the corner??? and I'll be enjoying my strong coffee with a little "Bailey's" for anti-freeze, here on the fronzen tundra, with all the "Kool Kids" who love the F-35??

but hey, all this negativity makes me look like Joe PRO!
so what will LockMart Sales Department give you this year? LOL it'd be hard to beat 750 nm in Beast Mode Saturday at 9:11 PM
have you heard of Beast Mode yet?

while in fact "Current Estimate" is 450 nm with weapons in the bay Yesterday at 9:49 AM
I've heard many actual testing results will be announced in 2018, by the way found this in Internet:

so I'll be waiting for Beast Mode LOL! "1390 km combat radius" would mean 750 nm in Saturday at 9:11 PM
but I don't underestimate Spin Doctors

You're obviously mixing your aircraft variants, your short range re-buttal is for for the F-35B operating, with a stealthy internal load, and internal fuel off a short flat deck??

so apples and oranges, and whose spinning who here Bud?? I may nick name you "Kommander Spinner!" besides you're a "floaty boat" fan??? that does indeed compromise your payload and range doesn't I?? I mean a 600 ft deck, as opposed to a 10,000 ft runway,,, come-on, you and I both know the A-Model will haul a hellaciously large load, a hellaciously long way,, and I'm sure neither of us could "hold-it" all the way there and back?? 650 nautical miles, is tremendous, and that's without tanking??

F35C should be the longest range of the variants with F35A taking second place and the B the shortest. This is because of the difference between them. The F35B has The wings of the A, but adds the lift fan system, 3 barring swivel and thrust control system. The A version lacks these and fills the space of the lift fan with a extra fuel tank.
The C has the extra fuel tank and larger wings with larger wing tanks.

I looked for the most conservative data I could for the estimate.
Thanks i think right now more reasonnable
Navalised bird so for CR you have a more big fuel reserve... so despite he host 8.9 fuel tons vs 8.3 he have only a range a lillte little superior possible also maybe more drag with wings
but sure the more nice :)

The CR for all variants is with internal fuel + max weapons load logically in more he have FTs only later with Block 4 426 gallons/1612 l surely increase range of about 25 %
But stealth have two advantage with all weapons in int bay and inferior drag more agile than with ext weapons and also for consumption but ofc weapons limited to about 25 % of the maximum.
Even with more low number the CR is good and vey good with FTs but not the 1st day more dangerous :)

But for A2/AD systems especialy the best SAMs F-35 going for doing a very interesting duo with GBU-53 disponible in big qty much more than missiles coz cheaper and increase salvoe and power also ( for litte target or laucher JDAMs vs big target ofc ) but seems coupled with F-35 stealth redoubtable

Well Jura's sinario wanted the F35B to make a strike at a target 800km in hostile territory. The FA18E has a CR of about 722km. Of course the Rafael makes a claim of a CR of 1600km... Which seems far more dubious.

Neither of those 4th Gen birds are gonna want to go down-town against S-400s, but even the F-35B will be able to take on that role,, it's always nice to tank up, but if stealth is an issue, you're better off carrying aux tanks and dropping them prior to the "run in" to the target, as tankers will open the door to your "access point"..

So tactically, it depends on who the target is, and what their AA capabilities are.
