From reading articles and tweets of the current crop gop/republicans (they are not the Bush 1 gop anymore), they really want China to fail and become poor/chaos again. Nothing less would satisfy them. I think the liberals still believe/hope for a peaceful rise of China. China is in RCEP and BRI, I think the ability of forming an anti-china gangsters outside of some of the 5 eyes has likely past.
This has always been the game plan of America for the last decade or so, in that wish China to be poor and divided. Now, as a result of all the bad things happening in the USA piling up, there is a potential soon that the USA is going to be poor (since the majority of the nation are poor and there are 60+f million unemployed for good) and divided (since the nation is in fact divided in ideology and they cannot even get there race problems sorted (bloody hell, China cares a lot more for there minorities then America has ever done)). Hence that is why during this election is crucial, whether if Trump can unite America (which is so that unlikely that it ceased being funny) or simply divided enough that the protesters will finally decided there second amendment on the police/ government (given how he indirectly congratulates his supporters for attempting to kidnap a Governor, well he isn't going to be winning awards for safety or security). If this end up happening, well China might be set back a one to two years to upgraded there technology/infrastructure to standard but the USA will be sent back to the dark ages if there nation gets trashed any more then it already is (there electrical grid, dams, roads, everything are all under threat whether by cyber warfare to simply sucking in maintenance). I can guarantee that very little foreign investor would want to invest in the USA after that due to safety factors and well the dollar by then being completely worthless by then

The media portrays China being on the ropes but the cold hard facts show that if the USA cannot get there shit together this month (which is impossible but don't tell them that), they are looking at so many different collapses happening at once that could end up making China the super power and the USA a third world country that might end up being the target of sanctions (well, this one might be a massive gift to Iran and Venezuela because come on, the USA sanctioning both nations where a pandemic is going on, that is low so sanctioning the USA is only karma).

The US sorta allows free speech until it "might" become action. They allow the free speech so they will have some evidence against you once you decide to do something dumb or plan on something dumb. People like to point at China, but the us system is very similar, it just gives you more rope to hang yourself with. Regardless of political affiliation, the police/federal forces will crush any attempts at overthrowing the govt or terroristic actions. The US won't collapse regardless of who gets elected, but there will just be more divisive politics, protests, and various media causing constant chaos. The US will just look dumber and dumber...

It's not Trump who is dangerous, (we know he's stupid), but his administration and advisers, including Mattew Pottinger, Peter Navarro, Mike Pompeo and others

In any case, the Biden administration will be less "hawk", it is not Trump vs Biden that we have to look at but rather the Trump administration vs Biden administration

And from what I saw, Biden's advisers are less "hawkish" than Trump's, almost all of Biden's advisers are from the Obama administration

Biden will have his own Hawks. Or he will hire Trumps Hawks. It's just that Biden is more sophisticated in his approach.

Whatever hawks Biden will hire, they won't be nearly as bad as Mike Pompeo or Peter Navarro. Besides, Biden is hiring mainly Obama-era FP advisors, who generally are much more willing to do diplomacy, engagement, and cooperation with China and not pursue lose-lose tensions between the two. Don't believe me? Here's what an Obama-era official says:

Biden is one of the people responsible for the Ukrainian color revolution. Obama started by "pivot to Asia" and wanted to make a free trade deal with Asia which specifically excluded China and was outside the context of ASEAN and in fact seeked to undermine it.

It is a priority to see President Trump re-elected.

CCP should be confident that Putin will get it done.

Counting on Uncle Vladimir to come through.

They need him to deliver.

Yeah and Trump went and screwed it all up big time. Nowadays, they are going to have to offer a lot more to ensure a deal can occur. Also given that The world has changed a lot since trump first started office, it is doubt that he alone can change the dismal out look for America’s future since Trump has stoak the hatred of the right wing electorate so much that Biden’s presidency (assuming he wins) is going to be fraught with conflict internally. Hence i believe that the damage the trump administration has caused isn’t something that can easily be reversed just because Biden is president. Biden is going to have to do everything he can to restore faith in the dollar, otherwise other countries are going to get sick of funding the livelihoods of American citizens very quickly and if they don’t appease China in regards to this matter, more nations will follow in the dollar dumping and this isn’t going to be good for the USA in the long run

indo pacific framework is also undermining asean unity. Japan for one is attempting to pull Indonedia and Vietnam into the group, which is lead to seperate policies from the ASEAN common stance.
