Side note. WTF UK has so much rubbish publications (Express, Daily Fail,Sun)?
I think only the guardian that's a little bit better.

Just imagine every Chinese 'self-media' account gets a printing press and a website, that's basically UK and India's news publication landscape.

Oh come on guys, this guy is clearly a PsyOps guy in MI6. Just ignore him. I have no idea what he writes because I put him in my Ignore list a long time ago.

Mind you, his job description is to slowly brainwash you over multiple months and posts. Slowly but surely.

This is taken from the US Army website but it's no different from the British one, which our man belongs to:

PSYOP Soldiers typically operate in small, autonomous teams or with other Special Operations forces to develop relationships with a country’s civilian population, government figures and military and law enforcement agencies.

Experts in their field, they specialize in unconventional capabilities, cultural expertise, language proficiency, military deception and advanced communications techniques encompassing all forms of media.

You notice he never gets emotional? That's just cause he is conducting psychological warfare on all of us here at SDF.

@Crang

Are we that important to be subject to a professional psyop operation from Mr T? haha

I'm here because it's been obvious for years that China is going to become far bigger than the USA, and that this scenario is something that the world needs to adjust to.

Eg. The latest Australian government white papers put the Chinese economy at twice the size of the USA by 2035.
That has all sorts of implications.

Nah if only we were that important. But we're good target practice, since people here are above average and we're like his guinea pigs.

First, freedom of the press. It's no job of the government to regulate the quality of news articles. If they want to report on footballers' diets that's up to them.

Second, they're tabloids. They exist in most countries including China.

Third, the UK still has quality publications. You mentioned The Guardian. Then there's the Financial Times, Economist and The Times, not to think about regional newspapers.
Maybe I should rephrase it as "Why rubbish publications managed to be top publications?". Do people have bad taste?

And why on earth do you think I would spend my time lobbying the City of London?
Well you were convinced that the City was going to block the changes to UK immigration rules for HK residents. When nothing happened I assumed you were going to get in touch with them to alert them to the dangerous developments they were obviously unaware of. ;)

"Free to do trade deals around the world. And free to turbocharge our ambition to be a science superpower" - Boris Johnson
Uhuh. Note what he said - ambition to be a science superpower. I.e. the UK is not that currently. Also, there's no rule that says only the largest countries in the world can be top scientific powers. Of course easier said than done, but he's a politician, it's rhetoric.

Hah, that's so funny. They couldn't even pull off one last foreign policy stunt because they refused to be adults about the transition for Biden.

LOL they wouldn't even let him visit the Euros.
More like the Euros disinvites his fat facist arse.

But the cancellation of the Taiwan trip feels like the powers that be are taking no chances with the final few days of Trump. The last thing they want is for fat facist pompo to ‘accidentally’ cross a real red line of China’s and start a war.

Best case that leaves a proverbial flaming turdbag on Biden’s doorstep before he has even moved into his new digs; worst case would be Trump using war with China as pretext to cling onto power a little longer. If Biden kicks it while waiting, that creates all sorts of difficult questions and angles for Trump to play with.
