Her mother has passed away for years now. She is half indian, liberal and woman, i doubt she would be a hindu extremist. Hindu and india is part of her dna, of course she would be learn about it.

I think the hawkish will be Kamala Harris, the vice president.
Remember her name is Kamala Devi Harris, Devi is still Indian name, and almost all Indian hate China. Her mother still teach her Indian culture, Hinduism, ( wikipedia ) and she still very fond of India

Her mom was Tamil. Tamils generally aren't very big fans of the whole Hinduvta thing.

The British had to lose their empire before they could get healthcare and I suspect the same might happen to the US.
Do you think China will ever have free universal healthcare like Britain does?

My predictions. Biden will be as hawkish if not more hawkish. China has zero advocates in DC. Biden looks at the polling. 90% of voters are anti-China. Being anti China has political benefits.

Biden will probably create some sort of expanded NATO to include India, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam. And NATO will not only be a military alliance but a technology and trade alliance. Where they coordinate to put tariffs on imports from China. While simultaneously restricting China's access to anything related to semiconductor or technology.

This is why I think Trump is the lesser evil.

We already saw 8 years of Biden as Vice President. He isn't a hawk on China, and will not be a hawk on China. He is 77 years old, you aren't changing his outlook, it's dead set in it's old ways.

Biden admitted he will remove all tariffs on China as President, so you have to distinguish "rhetoric" with "action". Plus, he is hiring a bunch of ex-Obama foreign policy officials, his foreign policy on China will be much more closer to Obama's than Trumps.

Congress though might be in question.

Congress is going to be distracted on how much stimulus they'll want lol, as well as other petty political fights and showmanship. Besides, there are still internal party fights even if one party comes to control both the House, Senate, and the White House. And even then, there's no guarantee that say, the Democrats will have control over the federal government for a whole 4 years, so that even if a coherent, strategic, fully-fleshed-out anti-China approach is initiated, that it will also be both formulated and executed without being sidetracked by partisan battles later on.

Hence, overall, why I am beginning to favour Biden more and more. You got to look at him from different, realistic angles, not just take for face value what he says rhetorically he'll do. Plus, Hunter Biden's Chinese business interests might also be a useful avenue for China to influence any Biden China policy course.

I just can't see Biden serving out all four years of his term. He's admitted to being a "transition president", so I could see him staying to get the Dems through the midterms before handing the reigns to Kamala. So I a vote for Biden is essentially a vote for Kamala, and I just can't get behind her incompetence...
