Gents while I do agree there is some bias against China in the "Western Media". That is not the subject of this thread. The situation in Xinjiang is the subject. Let's turn the discussion in that direction.

Popeye why have you not approved of my youtube video link? It is quite gruesome but it is a piece of truth that I believe is relevant to this discussion.

Oh dear is someone high on racial determinism again? There are many Chinese people on this board but I can tell you that very few of them live or have lived in China recently. There is nothing about Western jurisprudence that we "fail to understand".

he's talking about the Chinese people not the CCP. The deliberate demonization of the Ethnic Han majority people by Western media and society at large. Does it occur to you that it is possible for Chinese people to exist as an entity, and hence target for prejudice and victimization, independent of the CCP?

Popeye any chance of that youtube link being allowed? I think it provides valuable information about the violence that lead to the 160 deaths that much of Western media is glossing over.

I fixed the video problem. New members must post 15 times to send or recieve PMs...

Personally, I am disgusted at the sight of Han Chinese people being brutally attacked by the Uighur and the fact that most western media outlets fail to cover the story or put the deserved emphasis on it. Call it my naivete if you want, but after reading previous posts in this thread, I really have to side with the Han Chinese on this situation among others... While I don't live in China and have only visited my hometown/China a few times in my life I still feel for the effected person(s).

I will start by tipping my hat off to BD Popeye the moderator for being just and balance.
