Can't wait to see her completed! She may share her bones with the Kunetsov class but she is basically a brand new carrier and likely the most capable ski jump carrier ever put to sea together with the QE class.

I think the design changes between her and liaoning are not insignificant.

Yes, I was going to say that I believe the QE class will be stronger.

I think with the F-35B and the new Merlin Mk2 Crowsnest AEW, they will be.

I also believe that the Inian Vikramaditya with the Mig-29Ks capabilities and the long history the Indians have with these types of carriers makes them nothing to scoff at.

The carrier is smaller, and the J-15 larger and capable of more ordinance...but the Vikram can carry more Mig-29Ks and we have already seen them at sea with 14 or more Mig-29Ks exercising regularly. So, the Vikram, is nothing to take lightly. And their new Vikant will be every bit as capable.

But the Chinese will soon have two of these carriers, and a third CATOBAR on the way.

There is no doubt in my mind that by the time that first Chinese CATOBAR is launched and we start hearing of a second CATOBAR on the way, that in terms of carrier strength, the Chinese will have established itself as the second most powerful carrier capable navy in the world.
