Mass graves found in Ukraine, OSCE confirmed :(

Dozens of Bodies Found in Mass Graves in Eastern Ukraine

MOSCOW – Around 40 bodies of civilians have been found in one of three mass graves in eastern Ukraine, the prime minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic said on Thursday.

“So far, three burials have been found, one of them with bodies of civilians, 40 of them already discovered. Two others contain the bodies of captured militia members and Ukrainian soldiers,” Alexander Zakharchenko told the Russian News Service radio station.

Militias continue uncovering new burials but their exact number is yet unknown, Zakharchenko said.

The latest discovery is due to be investigated by the republic’s Interior Ministry and Defense Ministry, and international experts from Europe and Russia.

Mass graves found on Ukrainian National Guard positions in eastern Ukraine

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine said in its daily report on September 23 that the military police of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic found three unmarked graves allegedly containing multiple bodies.

Two of the burials were located in a coal mine Komunar near the village Nyzhnia Krynka, some 35 kilometers (21.7 miles) northeast of Donetsk, and one inside the village, the OSCE report said. Earlier the territory was under the control of the Ukrainian army and the National Guard’s battalion Aidar.

The first exhumation results after the discovery of four bodies, including three identified as women, reportedly showed that the victims had been raped, tortured, tied up and gunned down. One of the women was pregnant.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry believes the mass burial of civilians near Donetsk is a military crime that could have been committed by Ukraine’s National Guard, and insists on an urgent and comprehensive international probe into the case.

To add to Thunderchief's post, from OSCE official report:

The ‘military police’ of ‘Donetsk People’s Republic’ (‘DPR’) told the SMM that three unmarked graves allegedly containing multiple bodies had been found; two of them were located in a coal mine Komunar near the village Nyzhnia Krynka (35km north-east of Donetsk) and one inside the village. The SMM proceeded to the scene and saw in the coal mine two areas located fifty metres apart, each containing two human bodies. All four corpses were in the process of decomposition. The SMM also saw eight 9mm Makarov pistol cartridges approximately five meters away from the bodies. Near the road on the edge of the village, the SMM observed a pile of earth resembling a grave which had a stick with a plaque, written in Russian and containing the names (or in one case – initials) of five individuals. The plaque indicated that the individuals died on 27.08.2014. On top of the plaque there was another inscription saying: ‘Died for Putin’s lies’. Neither in the coal mine nor in the village did the SMM see any forensic experts. COMMENT: The SMM cannot provide a forensic assessment of the sites.

OSCE ‘has no proof of Russian servicemen’ in Ukraine – envoy
Observers of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe have no serious proof of “Russian servicemen” in Ukraine, Russian permanent representative to the OSCE Andrey Kelin said Friday. “No serious proof was found. OSCE observers tell the Western press that there is no proof of the presence of Russian troops in Ukraine,” ITAR-TASS quoted him as saying during the ‘Moscow-Vienna’ video conference. He added Russia is ready to discuss possible issues in this aspect at corresponding forums.

Hungary ‘indefinitely’ turns off gas supplies to Ukraine

Natural gas deliveries to neighboring Ukraine have been halted “indefinitely”, said Hungary’s prime minister, Viktor Orban, a day after securing a new deal with Russian gas giant Gazprom.

Hungary's gas pipeline network operator FGSZ suspended gas supply to Ukraine as of 4pm GMT on Thursday, citing a need to meet increased domestic demand.

“FGSZ Ltd interrupted the gas transmission to Ukraine through the separate pipeline from Testveriseg (Brotherhood) pipeline on the afternoon of the 25th September 2014 for an indefinite period,” the company said in a statement.

Naftogaz, Ukraine’s state-owned oil and gas company, called the shutoff of supplies “unexplainable and unexpected.”

On Friday, PM Orban, who in the past has likened sanctions with Russia to “shooting oneself in the foot”, announced the country had reached agreement with Gazprom CEO Aleksey Miller to increase gas deliveries to Hungary to fill storage centers before winter. He made the announcement on Hungarian public radio, four days after meeting with Miller in Budapest.

Russia is Hungary's sole source of natural gas, and in 2013 sent 6 billion cubic meters. Gazprom's new South Stream pipeline, due to be complete in 2018, will cross through Hungary. The project will reduce the unreliable passage of Russian gas to Europe through Ukraine.

Earlier in September, Poland was also forced to turn off reverse gas flows to Ukraine, after it claimed Gazprom decreased supplies, which the Russian company denied. A day later, Poland resumed full deliveries to Ukraine.

You do get a sense of wheels coming off in all directions as players bail out of this project.

Otherwise footage with Eng subs of fighting today at Donetsk Airports with NAF units inside the grounds and fighting for the Airport building by building - nothing graphic.

Now why should it be unpopular to serve in the east to fight for a United Ukraine free from communist tyranny and oppression?

"On 22 September two lawyers providing free legal advice to Ukrainian military personnel on duty in the east told the SMM there was widespread dissatisfaction amongst soldiers with the Ukrainian Military High Command and political elites in Kyiv. They claimed such dissatisfaction could lead to a “third Maidan”, and in order to forestall this, political parties were recruiting commanders of volunteer military battalions to stand in the parliamentary elections. Silence of the Lambs. This is actually old news as even 2 months back we have read how Kiev nazi boys have executed captured separatists fighters. Even today, Obama and even Germany's Merkel have deliberately pretend not to know that Kiev have special nazi battalions used as storm troopers.
