No it's a bit complicated since at that time Japan was still hesitant in exporting military equipment through the self embargo. Remember the the technology itself is basically 20~30 years old and although the many of the equipment is being disclosed recently they had been under research for the last 10 years to make it work.

The US may not have any active bullet trains, but from the first patent in 1905 US engineers have been engaged in development of MAGLEV tech. In fact one of the first MAGLEVs was built in the US in the 1970s however these maglev trains were built as tourist monorails at Walt Disney World Florida. As such they lack the need or want of speed because the ranges are shorter and the views would be ruined. Although Asian markets shot ahead with bullet trains, here in the US the truth is trains are not profit able. Amtrak the American train transportation system is a disaster, and only kept afloat as the result of government intervention.
as such bullet trains just have not made the transition from concept to construction. But does that mean that the US government had to get Rail tech from Japan? Not really the technology base is the same no matter if its low speed or ultra high velocity. Since the US does have access to that then its covered.

My opener was a conceptual breaching shotgun for Russia. here is my follow up. A Breacher for the QBZ95 1.
take the Stock and pistol grip from the Hawk tactical pump. Weld the Upper receiver to the same kind of adapter as seen on the type 91 35mm Launcher and mount it under barrel, Cut down the shotguns barrel and weld a muzzle break

Can somebody explain to me why can't we create an international garbage disposal system where we take all of our non-biodegradable wastes (things that don't decompose for thousands of years) and dump them in active volcanoes? We can send all those waste off to major collection outposts that are based at uninhabited major active volcanic islands, which then will either truck them off to the lava pits either by road, helo? Some people say it's too dangerous to get too close, so why don't we use an artillery-type of system where they fire the garbage into the lava pits at safe distances? All of that still seems to beat polluting our environment with non-degradable garbage, and also minimal direct man-made environmental impact, not to mention it is very cost-effective and energy efficient in the long run. Those active volcanoes are going to be around for centuries anyway releasing toxic fumes and clouds.

First Logistics. The US, Europe, China sure but think about the really out there location or nations that totally lack logisics like Siberia, Africa and parts of the middle east. second cost. money it would cost a fortune and nations have other things they want to do with money finally what happens if you volcanic landfill erupts on the work crew?

Burning it in a volcano doesn't change anything. It's being burned and that sends carbon into the atmosphere. You have to wonder because contrary to what environmentalist think, mother nature is all powerful. A volcano when it has a major eruption is said to send massive amounts of poisonous gases equivalent to industrial pollution into the atmosphere at a single time. It can actually affect weather in the near term. It takes a long time for industrial pollution to be noticed in the weather except maybe acid rain by the way of accumulation. Environmentalism is really human narcissism because how does a human know how to save the environment where mother nature needs its help? Carbon which said to be the culprit of greenhouse gases feeds plants. Trees love it. High amounts of oxygen which is good for humans kills plants. So whose side is mother nature on? If humans get wiped out because of environmental degradation, that's mother nature at work.
You are trying to create some kind of dichotomy which does not exist at all in nature. "High amounts of oxygen" does not kill plants and also is not good for humans. Never heard of oxygen toxicity? And that's in HUMANS, not plants. And if humans get wiped out because of environmental degradation, that's not "mother nature" at work. That's stupid humans at work.

The Amount of Increased o2 would have to be massive in order to get toxic. The Environmental movement is pushing the Drastic dooms day prediction. the same one they have pushed for years yet so far all there predictions have failed. we simply still do not know enough about the earth to proclaim the sky is falling.
