@Overbom bro again I don't have any medical background , so take my opinion with a huge grain of salt. BUT I can see the light on the end of the tunnel regarding this pandemic, on my previous post I had said that new covid mutation maybe infectious but the lethality is less than the original, this new mutation and many more that will follow will make Covid more like a common flu. As more people are vaccinated the mutation happen on the unvaccinated one, and from the advise I get from my doctor friend the danger from omicron variant is all hype, it was infectious YES, BUT not deadly and for him this latest mutation is a proof that the virus is on the wane and had run its course.
So by the time these Chinese mRNA vaccines are released, the whole pandemic will already be under control. If this is the case, they lost a big marketing chance. But mRNA vaccines still have a lot of other applications.

It seems that the Omicron variant has already displaced the Delta variant in the place where it was detected first

Earliest detection in South Africa: 8 November, Gauteng
Omicron dominates November sequencing data at 74% of genomes (n=183/249).
Sequencing is ongoing to determine prevalence of Omicron in other provinces.
Delta variant dominated in all provinces until end October
Its not even a month and it has reached a 74% share of total tested viruses. Give it another week or so and it will reach total dominance

Honestly, even if I was pumped full of hopium, I still can't find a single positive on this new variant. All the reported data and news paint a very grim future where the Omicron variant will most likely be a huge problem. 0 positives, all negatives

LOL. mRNA is most important for those desperate people clinging to hope of a life saving miracle cure. For the rest of us, let us just wait until it can be proven safe now and many years from now.
The gold standard in scientific evidence is a randomized controlled trial (RCT). Don't know what more evidence you want. Do you want a long term RCT, because you will wait forever because nobody is collecting that data, and all the long term observational studies suggest it's safe. Also safety is relative to the disease symptoms. It's all a relative trade off.

Marketing chance? Marketing chance for what? To use the Chinese people as guinea pigs for these mRNA vaccines to see how effective they can be to be used for mass vaccinations and essentially serve the needs of pharmaceutical companies to serve their thirst for $$$...that's just messed up. Your priorities are not in the right place. The west can have their population as the guinea pigs for these super duper mRNA vaccines and let China use their inactivated vaccines and let's find out how effective and above all safe the people are from the different vaccine tech being used in the long run.

FDA releases Pfizer Trial Results.

The problem with this type of surveillance data is we don't know if these 1200 deaths are due to vaccine or other causes like natural death, cancer, cardiovascular disease, comorbidites, etc... All we know is that there is 1200 deaths within 90 days of vaccination, but it literally could be death from COVID-19 during those 90 days, and it will still be part of this mortality database, which collects "all-cause" mortality from any source within 90-days of vaccination. It's for exploratory hypothesis generating data, you can't make any conclusions from this study.

Another part of problem is that this surveillance data is usually self-reported, or death has to occur in a hospital system where they have access to history of medical records. There is inconsistency in the way the data is collected which is a form of sampling bias.

The 6 month Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) for Pfizer and Moderna had zero deaths, and in clinical trials, they actually follow-up and monitor you for death and adverse events, whereas surveillance data is self-reported and you don't know the actual cause of death is due to vaccine or another disease or from COVID.

TLDR: RCT evidence has zero deaths, and this surveillance data cannot determine if the cause of death is vaccine-related or another reason.
