You're talking about the underreporting of infections.

Deaths, on the other hand, is another matter.

Excess death rates don't mean anything. Entire lifestyles have changed over covid restrictions. More people working from home means less traffic accidents, just as a simple example.
The US is apparently exceptional. Deaths from traffic accidents have actually gone up in the US last year.

even over 2020. Contributing factors, according to the agency, included driving under the influence, speeding and failure to wear a seatbelt.
Why are so many Americans driving irresponsibly?

Mike Milley is tested positive.

Has anyone been running a tally of COVID casualtiy among these ruling elites? Is Colin Powell the only one? What about Dan Patrick, the Lt Governor of Texas who asked the seniors of the US to sacrifice their lives for the country?

Reminds me a scene in Mike Moore's movie "Fahrenheit 911". He followed the senators and congress reps on the streets near the Capitol building, asking them if their kids were serving in Iraq. The result? None. None of the 500+ politicians who started the war had their kids or grand kids in Iraq.

Drug overdoses up, suicides up, homicides up >7 per 100k people (worse than any developed nation and worse than 80% of 3rd world countries), shootings up, traffic fatalities up, industrial and infrastructure accidents up....

Not even just during the pandemic. This has been going on for nearly a decade and doesn't look like it's going to stop. It will stagnate here or there before bouncing slowly higher again and again imo.

That has me stumped as well. As asked months ago " mRNA vaccines are better than the traditional way of making vaccines because it was quicker to make updated vaccines for the variants" so where are they?
Yes, I read articles on how they boast of how mRNA can be easily tweaked to deal with new variants but turns out it not that easy. The last news articke I read said Pfizer need afew months for the tweaked vaccine to be available. And I'm pretty sure they still need to do further trials for safety issues. Which would make it longer time for it to be in mass production.

Chest pain and fatigue. 1 and half week after I recovered I did some light exercise in order to remain active (my job is in office, got to stay active), and then some days after I got chest pain, and fatigue. Its already 3 days that I have these symptoms.

If they persist I am going to doctor on Monday. Chest pain should be myocarditis I think
Check your heart rate. It seems abnormally high heart rate due to viral infection of the heart tissue is not uncommon with infection and Pfizer vaccines.

If you find your heart rate elevated and increasing over time, best to not do any cardio exercises until you had a thorough heart check up by a specialist.

I think globally it is underreported because 40-60% of infections are asymptomatic. So everyone is underreporting, esp. in US where they are sending home-test kits that doesn't count into official figures.

Now, how much is it underreported in China compared to US, we don't know until we look at excess death rates which can tell us how much it is underreported.

I have a strong suspicion that even taking into account underreporting, China comes out FAR ahead of US because universal mask, contact tracing, mass vaccination, mass testing, robust lockdowns, no overwhelmed hospitals, strict international visitor quarantine and testing, lack of politicization of pandemic, and lack of misinformation.
China does not under report, since they test whole cities, where there are outbreaks.

I agree, when there is large outbreaks, China tests the entire city, tens of millions of people. So for outbreaks, it's very comprehensive.

But for everyone 1 detected cases, there is another 1 case that is undetected because they have no signs/symptoms (asymptomatic rate of 40-60% of all infections). This is a problem globally, not just in China. It's even worse in nations with poor infrastructure or lack of testing capacity.
