Lieutenant General
I had no idea of this Gugugaga stuff until I clicked some of the videos in this thread and now all of the sudden my YouTube home page has been infected with this. What is it? Baby versions of anime women? Or is it some new fad of baby/pets creatures. Which brings up... what's with all the abuse? Is that some weird way of inducing cuteness like how Punch the monkey is getting all this sympathetic attention?

My Little Pony? The internet in general will be intrigued to say the least. Plus marketing will probably be handled by the internet itself…

Considering Arknights has had two successful collaborations with Sanrio, I'm curious to see how Hypergryph will pull this off. The idea of "pony" operators isn't as absurd as it sounds when you look at the most recent April fools event which redrew certain operators in a Pop Team Epic-esque art style.HEy1Y1lbgAA3dXn.jpgHEy1Y1ja4AAkHRz.jpgHEy1Y2gbEAAYdc1.jpg

Kind of crazy we're finally getting to the endgame for Genshin Impact. I still remember jumping on the game when it first came out and of course in circles close to groups like this, the collective sense of pride that China finally managed to make a globally popular cultural export. Since then of course the cultural pride aspect wore off with other successes like Wuthering Waves, BMW, and all those pretty boy Xianxia dramas that I don't care for but I know the ladies love a lot. And the game itself had been through numerous content dryspells (actually its very launch was characterized by a content dryspell, lol) and PR screw ups.
But through it all, I stuck with it and its not hard to see why from this video. The game very much is a passion project from the devs and the amount of details they put in is almost Ph.D. level. It is a genuine AAA production despite its F2P model and its core player base being on mobile. The game's style also aligns perfectly with my tastes eventhough I don't even watch anime, since I do like fantasy and ethereal settings. There is a chance they'll screw up the ending or decide they're making too much money for it to end, and drag it out. But hey, thanks for the past 5 years and looking forward to the final chapters.
