Helldivers, which is very popular in China, is at a new story arc where Shanghai is one of the cities being attacked by aliens. Chinese players are surging to defend digital Shanghai. The coordinated effort and the defense's resilience has spawned a whole bunch of memes—historical memes like "Shanghai fell in 1937, it will never fall again!" or "What is your mission in Shanghai?!" a la Battlefield 4.
Wait, Shanghai exists in the Helldivers universe?
How, I searched up the update, read the blog post and they didn't mention Shanghai?
In-game the city is geographically located exactly where Shanghai is IRL and is named Equality-On-Sea. 上 loosely translates to on/upon and 海 is just sea so 上海 is just On-Sea.
The aliens are actually getting their asses kicked right now. Super Earth control was only at about 20% this morning.

Recently came back from Disneyland as part of a birthday trip for my niece. It was an okay trip, at my age the only part of the park that has any appeal to me is probably the Star Wars section. Moreso for the sci-fi aesthetics, since I'm not even a fan of the Star Wars movies to begin with. But hot damn, that Rise of the Resistance ride lives up to its hype as a real game changer in immersive theme park experiences. I don't know if Mainland Chinese theme parks have any rides as cool, but if MiHoYo really is planning on building a Hoyoland theme park one of these days, they better take notes if possible so they can top it.

The devs look like they pre-arranged a plot where the last megacity standing was Prosperity City, aka Stockholm where the devs Arrowhead Studio is based. So then with all the other megacities falling all the players will go there for last stand and start of pushing back the aliens.
But both American and Chinese players are not having it and were putting up strong resistance in Equity-On-Sea (Shanghai) and York Supreme (New York), so the devs had to DM fiat the aliens and boost their attack. Eventually the American players reached out to the Chinese player base and arranged so that each side defends Shanghai while the other sleep. York Supreme was deliberately abandoned to the enemy so all forces can focus in Equity-On-Sea. The goal being to hold out until Dragon Boat Festival 31/05/2025 which is a Chinese public holiday an a large Chinese player surge would be expected.
Players are putting up such a strong fight now in Equity-On-Sea that aliens are been driving back and may be completely pushed out before 31st.

Not sure what Mihoyo has plan on theme park now.
But around 2-3 years ago, Mihoyo earned so much money that they dont know what to do with it.

I'm honestly surprised no one has posted this yet. But, another new gacha game developed by Silver Studio (in China); a subsidiary of Happy Elements.
Gameplay wise, it reminds me of 1999. The animation especially the execution or takedown is very cool, brutal even. The graphics are high, charac designs are unique and fits into the Victorian era. I guess it's an open world and I can't wait to be release. So many gacha games are coming up.
