You know Indians have a lot of nerve. They say China only copies. Then they produce this crap which is clearly just copying Wukong.

Do these guys have any original thoughts or do they just cling onto whatever trends are out there. Like China made a video game so we must too.
Irrespective of politics, India has a rich mythology and body of literature surrounding it. Plus it'd be great for BMW's reputation if it can create a so called "WuKong effect" where developing nations take to AAA development to tell their nation's own mythologies. The world would be all the richer with video games based on things like the Shahnameh or the various national poems of South East Asia.

The graphics on the first game are impressive and indicate the barrier of entry for AAA is decreasing. This will democratize game development & further degrade the Western & Japanese dominance on mainstream gaming. In turn, that will lead to a richer & more diverse gaming industry (even if Indian games will inevitably prove to be counter China).

That said, did they really have to set the second game in an Indian ghetto and have the player character go around murdering lower caste people? Come on now India, you’re not doing yourself much favors here.

The cinematics of the first game look good. Then the actual gameplay arrives which requires resources and you realise its not really better than a PS3 game.

For reference, here are two prominent PS3 games from 2009. I would actually argue they are more impressive because theres a lot more characters and actions going on.

BMW is inspired by souls games. /shrug

The biggest hurdle in the game is whether it's vaporware and/or take 7+ years to complete.

Also talking about the 1st game since the 2nd game is not worth talking about.

It has come to my attention that Super Earth has been invaded by xenos. Every mega city save for Prosperity City (Stockholm), the capital, and Equality-On-Sea (上海) has fallen. Super Chinese Helldivers are mounting a dogged defence of their mega city and the memes coming out are glorious. As of now, On-Sea's defenders are actually retaking ground despite the Game Master's efforts to make Prosperity City the site of Super Earth's glorious final stand. The hope is to hold on until 端午节 where a surge of reinforcements are expected.
