From a concept study, which examines using UCAVs to intercept ballistic missiles while they are still in the boost phase. A lead UCAV detects and tracks a ballistic missile launch using lidar, infrared, and medium-wave radar. It then passes targeting information to other UCAVs in the group to launch an interceptor to down the ballistic missile while it's still in the boost phase.

Why is it many of these military equipments still using windows XP? I thought there was already a mandate to remove all US hardware/software in Chinese public institutions. I thought the Kylin OS was purposely created for military usage first. It looks like Windows XP embedded to me. Similar to those XP OS used in ATM machines.

This is definitely Windows 7, just look at the taskbar and the background logo. I believe Microsoft handed over the source code to the Chinese government for Windows 7 back in 2010, so this could be some modded version.
