Well, if only I knew!
Since a few months additionally to the individual aircraft or bort numbers (here no. 31) and the typical construction numbers PLAN Naval Aviation aircraft and helicopters were seen carrying some new serial numbers according to a HXXXXxxx or HXXXXXxx pattern.

Even if I do not fully understand the system, at least xxx or xx correlates to the bort number and for the XXXX or XXXXX I suspect some sort of unit designation. Seen so far on PLAN NA J-15, JL-9H, JH-7A, Z-8C, Z-9D and KQ-200 ... but there are surely more and so a pattern.

Probably safe to conclude that the deal is dead since there is no news after 10 years.
Not on the radar it seems, L-39NG was test flown in Czechia, there are rumours of ex-Brazilian Super Tucanos/F-5E's and even ex-Chilean A-36 Halcones but have not heard anything about L15 in a year, still not officially dead as far as I know

Preparations for the IDEX2023 defense exhibition are ongoing and a model of the L-15 / JL-10 aimed for the UAE Air Force will be on show ... interesting, it is showing an in-flight refueling capability.
