"At the time of the chip war between Japan and the United States, the Japanese government, under pressure from the United States, opened more than 1,000 VLSI intellectual property rights free of charge, dismantled the patent wall, and signed one after another. The third issue of the "Japan-US Semiconductor Agreement" faithfully implements the price supervision mechanism required by the United States, which makes Japanese chip companies lose their free pricing power, which has become one of the main factors for products to lose market competitiveness, and indirectly helps the chip industry to transfer to Taiwan and South Korea. Eventually led to the defeat of the Japanese chip industry. "Like I said in an earlier message, China will never sign any agreement with the Americans like Japan did. The result was the destruction of Japan's semiconductor industry. Does anybody think the Japanese government would now cooperate with China to save the last crown jewel of what was once their dominant industry when they themselves signed their own death warrant when they were still dominating? I think not. What is more likely is, they will force companies like Nikon and their semiconductor materials companies to join the American created anti-China semiconductor alliance to block the remaining struggling Japanese semiconductor companies from working with China.
Even now, Japanese industry is considered a threat and still suppressed. Yet Japan willingly "bows their head" to their master, just as all the dogs bow their head to the alpha dog "America". This is how the Anglo-American Empire works. It leverages its leading position and influence to keep the biggest dogs in check to scare the runts of the litter who then follow the alpha. When you have even a large power like Japan come up against the combined power of America and most of the OECD, Japan will bow down because they don't want to become a Russia, Iran or Venezuela."At the time of the chip war between Japan and the United States, the Japanese government, under pressure from the United States, opened more than 1,000 VLSI intellectual property rights free of charge, dismantled the patent wall, and signed one after another. Literally industrial seppuku. Insane!
@krautmeister bro, CIOMP already had the optics ready and Gigaphoton with its 250 kw LPP being stored and gathering dust, Its a match made in heaven. But pride had its price, the warrior spirit that define Japan in the late 80's had long gone, it takes the US 30 years to finally destroyed Japan tech supremacy, its a lesson for us Chinese to learned be guided.Even now, Japanese industry is considered a threat and still suppressed. In a "fair" competition with a real free market, Japan would have already had their own EUV lithographs. They already have most of the important components to create EUV equipment. They just lack certain precision optics that ASML partners blockade through industrial cartels, cartels that were promoted by the alpha dog. If it were not for this, Nikon would be going head to head with ASML and Canon might even still be in the lithography business.
Good point. The combined lithograph components of China and Japan would be able to have a working commercial EUV lithograph machine up and running in a year. It would be able to do single exposure 7nm from the get go and quickly advance to 3-5nm soon afterwards. Both countries semiconductor industries would take off. However, we both know that will never happen.@krautmeister bro, CIOMP already had the optics ready and Gigaphoton with its 250 kw LPP being stored and gathering dust, Its a match made in heaven. Have they even talked about cooperation between China and Japan in this industry? The governments of both countries should know about this blatant suppression from the big bully.Good point. Japan was a good lesson but sadly, there are STILL to this day, delusional American worshipping types in China's tech industry despite what has already happened, some of them higher ups in management and leadership positions. This self-critical attitude to China's domestic technology is why I believe it is imperative that China does not promote American or American sponsored and supported tech solutions that enforce this mentality in China's technology workers. This suppresses profits that would otherwise go to China domestic companies, which creates a vicious cycle of lack of R&D and technology progress due to lack of money. That's why I repeatedly said earlier that China's EDA design tools must be adopted in the universities instead of what is now a monopoly of American EDA tools that do what I just said above.
@krautmeister bro Ren Zhengfei is one of them , I'm thankful that Trump had initiated this tech war, now every Chinese company is a target, a rude awakening shaking those Chinese white worshipper. They're lucky that CPC is strong and will support them. All they have to do is work hard , coordinate as a team and focus on a common goal. Bro it is happening with Huawei Harmony OS being adopted by other Chinese smartphone manufacturersGood point. @Tyler bro every country join the wave of Globalization believing in the benign or goodwill of America, China is among them and had benefited the most. Well Trump show us the ugly side of US imperialism, the blatant disregard of international rules and norms which they themselves created, Like I said in my previous post, we should thank him cause he shattered the illusion of America among the Chinese.Have they even talked about cooperation between China and Japan in this industry? I'm sure relevant people in the industry have thought of it, but it's dead on arrival. Btw, calling America "simply a bully" is really a VAST UNDERSTATEMENT and giving them way too much credit. This is a country that opened assassinates foreigners, runs false flag operations, influence operations, demonizes various countries and ethnic groups, used banned biological agents against combatants, did biological experiments on their own citizens, use Human Rights as a weapon to destroy their opponents while painting themselves as angels and protectors of Democracy, etc. etc. etc. It's really outrageous! In a very real sense, they are an evil empire, built on the bones of those they have genocided, all the while gaslighting China of doing what they actually did.Have they even talked about cooperation between China and Japan in this industry? The governments of both countries should know about this blatant suppression from the big bully.
