No, the US has no jurisdiction of a flight from the Netherlands to China. The risks of control would come through changes in the Dutch legal regime, mostly through Wassenaar.
That warehouse over there you are keeping those China destined DUV machines in are kinda nice, would be a shame if a fire broke out in that warehouse.

This matter is interesting because if the US pushes China too far, then its just going to invade Taiwan (US knows it cannot save Taiwan). but if the US doesn't push China hard enough, then it loses very important leverage.

I understand China is by far the largest importer of semicondutor chips. I wonder, however,

a) How much of those semiconductors are re-exported.
b) How much of those semiconductors are re-exported in foreign products which are just assembled in China, say for instance, HP computers or Apple phones, etc... Essentially, how much of those imported chips are imported without its purchase being decided by Chinese companies/individuals.
c) How much of those semiconductors are re-exported in products which are designed and manufactured by Chinese companies/individuals, say for instance, Oppo, Xiami, etc... phones
d) How much of those semiconductors are used in products which will be used by Chinese individuals/enterprizes.

My apologies in advance for anything I should not have done as far as this forum`s guidelines are concerned.

PART ONE 设备端
1)硅片设备

制作硅片,是芯片生产的第一道环节,硅单晶炉是制作硅片的主要装置。

晶盛机电是该领域龙头,承担过2项国家科技重大专项,硅单晶炉技术领先,国内高端市场占有率第一。

2019 年公司实现营收 31.09 亿元,其中单晶炉实现营收21.73 亿元,占比近 70%,毛利 8.29 亿元,占比 74.93%。

中环股份、沪硅产业、有研硅股等硅片企业都是其客户。

今年上半年,公司完成了8英寸硬轴直拉硅单晶炉、6 英寸碳化硅单晶炉外延设备的开发。

其中碳化硅单晶炉已经交付客户使用,外延设备、抛光设备完成技术验证,12英寸半导体单晶炉已经在国内知名客户中产业化应用。

此外,公司增加了半导体抛光液、阀门、磁流体部件、16-32 英寸坩埚等新产品的研发和市场开拓力度,产业链配套优势逐步显现。

晶盛机电早年从光伏设备行业起步,逐步进入半导体设备领域,如今又从单一的硅单晶炉设备,向切片、抛光、外延设备等拓展,甚至研发出了第三代碳化硅半导体设备。

小结:技术上完全没问题。


PART ONE device side
1) Silicon wafer equipment

Making silicon wafers is the first step of chip production, and the silicon single crystal furnace is the main device for making silicon wafers.

Jingsheng Electromechanical is the leader in this field and has undertaken 2 major national science and technology projects. The silicon single crystal furnace technology is leading and the domestic high-end market share is the first.

In 2019, the company achieved revenue of 3.109 billion yuan, of which the single crystal furnace achieved revenue of 2.173 billion yuan, accounting for nearly 70%, and gross profit of 829 million yuan, accounting for 74.93%.

Silicon wafer companies such as Zhonghuan, Shanghai Silicon Industry, and Research Silicon Stocks are all its customers.

In the first half of this year, the company completed the development of 8-inch hard shaft Czochralski silicon single crystal furnace and 6-inch silicon carbide single crystal furnace epitaxy equipment.

Among them, the silicon carbide single crystal furnace has been delivered to customers, and the epitaxial equipment and polishing equipment have completed the technical verification. The 12-inch semiconductor single crystal furnace has been industrialized in domestic well-known customers.

In addition, the company has increased the research and development and market development of new products such as semiconductor polishing fluid, valves, magnetic fluid parts, and 16-32 inch crucibles, and the supporting advantages of the industrial chain have gradually emerged.

Jingsheng Electromechanical started from the photovoltaic equipment industry in the early years and gradually entered the field of semiconductor equipment. Now it has expanded from a single silicon single crystal furnace equipment to slicing, polishing and epitaxy equipment, and even developed the third generation of silicon carbide semiconductor equipment.

热处理设备包括卧式炉、立式炉和快速升温炉(RTP)等,主要是对硅片进行氧化、扩散、退火等工艺处理。

北方华创是该领域龙头,在热处理设备的各个细分领域均有成熟的产品线。

今年上半年,公司在长江存储获得 3 台硅刻蚀、3 台 PVD、2 台炉管及 5 台退火设备订单,其中硅刻蚀设备市占率达 27%。

同时在华虹系获得 3 台硅刻蚀、1 台 PVD 及 2 台退火设备订单;在积塔半导体获得 2 台刻蚀、4 台氧化设备及 1 台退火设备订单。

北方华创不仅是热处理设备的龙头,还是光伏、锂电、半导体的硅刻蚀、薄膜沉积、清洗设备,甚至第三代碳化硅半导体设备的龙头之一。

今年上半年,公司的碳化硅(SiC)长晶炉、刻蚀机、PVD、PECVD 等第三代半导体设备开始批量供应市场;

12 寸硅刻蚀机、金属 PVD、立式氧化/退火炉、湿法清洗机等多款高端半导体设备也相继进入量产阶段,研发成果有种下饺子的感觉。

2) Heat treatment equipment

Heat treatment equipment includes horizontal furnaces, vertical furnaces and rapid heating furnaces (RTP), etc., mainly for the oxidation, diffusion, and annealing of silicon wafers.

North Huachuang is the leader in this field and has mature product lines in various sub-fields of heat treatment equipment.

In the first half of this year, the company obtained orders for 3 silicon etching, 3 PVD, 2 furnace tubes and 5 annealing equipment in Yangtze River Storage, of which the market share of silicon etching equipment reached 27%.

At the same time, it obtained orders for 3 silicon etching, 1 PVD, and 2 annealing equipment in Huahong Department; and obtained orders for 2 etching, 4 oxidation equipment and 1 annealing equipment in Jaeger Tower Semiconductor.

North Huachuang is not only the leader of heat treatment equipment, but also one of the leaders of photovoltaic, lithium battery, semiconductor silicon etching, film deposition, cleaning equipment, and even the third generation of silicon carbide semiconductor equipment.

In the first half of this year, the company's silicon carbide (SiC) crystal growth furnace, etching machine, PVD, PECVD and other third-generation semiconductor equipment began to be supplied to the market in batches;

A variety of high-end semiconductor equipment such as 12-inch silicon etching machine, metal PVD, vertical oxidation/annealing furnace, and wet cleaning machine have also entered the mass production stage, and the research and development results have a feeling of dumplings.
