With the U.S. inflation number coming out today at 7%, the highest in four decades, continuing printing money may not be a good option.
Yep. But why would Intel, TSMC and Samsung care? Or put it more precisely, why would the shareholders of these companies care?

The west doesn't use synchrontron EUV method is because they try to commercialize the product. They need to ship the discreet equipment world wide. They can't ship a fixed facility. China doesn't plan to sell the EUV FAB oversea so it's more like a national effort. EUV Fab will be built next to the synchrotron. The advantage of that is it has alot more power to work with. China doesn't have to concern about commercialization of the product . As long as it can work and build chips and that's all it matters. That constraint is on the west, China can built a number of such synchrotron facilities and built EUV Fab next to the,.

I think I posted this before, about 70% of the first prototype facility is built. SHould be finished constrcution sometimes in 2025.

It consists of four major components: the gun body, the ceramic barrel, the anti-halo ring, and the negative grid assembly. The negative grid component is the key to the electron gun. part.

This is my view on this Synchrotron facility.

This is the new HEPS Synchrotron facility that the CAS is building in Beijing which is the most powerful in the world.
It appears from the plans that this Synchrotron will be modified to allow operation as a SSMB Light Source facility.
Probably has similar equipment to the German MET Synchrotron facility where the initial SSMB experiments were verified by Tsinghua Uni and its German & American partners.
Basically killing 2 birds with one stone, allowing for general scientific research as well as being a SSMB Light Source Research facility and eventually a production facility with FABS next door.
A modern Synchrotron will generally have about 80 Beam Lines which are used for research by different users.
In this case each Beam Line is equivalent to one Light Source for one EUV Lithography Machine.

@WTAN Sir as @krautmeister @tokenanalyst and @FairAndUnbiased once mentioned a Synchrotron facility can handle multiple EUVL, on this facility with the sample you mentioned it can handle 80 EUVL simultaneously?
