Chinese Engine Development

No. My point is even a successful helo program like WZ-10 which we have seen massive footage and coverage of its deployment and comfirm continuous serial production with more than 60 in service. PLA still refuse to talk about its engine detail. How the production is run?

I don't think they have a local engine supply problem regarding for WZ-10 but still PLA would not come clean...

Same as other military engine program. PLA don't talk about their engine program , does not mean they have trouble or problem with it.

I think to know more of China aero engine program will wait until it civilian engine debut to know more detail or in depth of the development and advance level. Cause that is where China need to be open in order to sell their engine.

The fact that PLA doesnt disclose data (they are very secretive, everyone in this forum know it) doesnt explain the lack of any photos/images/data/whatsoever about this project. when was the last time we heard about it in this forum? 2 years?

Does the lack of photos/images/data over such a span of time need to be explained? The WS-10 was a very invisible project for the longest time. It was only after certification that we began seeing pictures and getting more information.

I think you are contradicting yourself, first you acknowledge that they don't disclose info, then you question why there is no info.....I mean, you see what I mean?

No, i dont see. Do you know something called "leaked information" ?

The nature of leaked information is that there's no guarantee of leaks, or consistency of them.

I agree that there is no garantee or consistency. But if it is something big and important (such as WS-15) the odds of getting something over the years is considerable.

Or not. There is as much incentive to make news as there is to maintain secrecy.

The same thing could be said about everything in PLA. The fact that we still see J-20 with russian engines after 2 years of flight indicates something.

They could be studying different engine of RCS on a stealthy airframe of J-20. What extend of effect does it have. That is why a reduced RCS engine and an AL-31F engine of it....

The priority is testing the flight characteristics of the J-20 and this is little affected by the type of engine used. I won't be surprised if the WS-15 is tested on the J-11s initially, if it fits in, in order not to interfere with the ongoing flight testing schedule of the J-20.
