China must get 2.1-2.5 ASAP for atleast the next 30 years.
It's going to be nearly impossible to reach a TFR of 2.1-2.5 with the current population number in China with the lack of women at child bearing age and low marriage rate. The only Wunderwaffe to this problem will be the creation of artificial womb, and fortunately there's been great strides being made in the research and development of this technology, I'm optimistic we'll get the first commercial prototype somewhere around 2030.
I really wish XJP or the Party in general sees this as a chance and facilitates it, also means Gays in China can have kids so there is no negatives of being gay anymore besides maybe looking funny sometimes.
Main minus of being homosexual was/is they are reproductively inert, you can join sperm with sperm or egg with egg but this will never result in any offspring and adopting only alleviates the suffering of orphans but does not contribute to grow/maintain the population.
But hopefully the stigma goes away, any form of emancipation helps in pacifying the people and create true common prosperity.
Also like make housing not a commodity on the market? Like wtf, houses are for living not for speculation.

I think they are heading at the direction of using artificial womb in the future, just that there's some ethical and legal roadblocks that still need to be resolved for research and development, and commercial use, then preparing the environment to be conducive to family making and child care. Even if they don't consider it now, they'll be forced to in the future, due to geopolitical considerations.

There are talks that use of plastics in packaging and intake of micro plastics is decreasing fertility. Afaik that was about sperm count. The biggest problem is that people themselves don't want to have children, not that they want to have but they are physically unable

Edit: Also for housing prices, last I remembered the prices have been going down, and for why class sizes is really large, it may have more to do with lack of educational personnel and resources.
