Chinese Economics Thread

Australia won't budge. It's in their culture, and it's only going to change on a generational timescale.

Australia is bascially becoming China's Cuba. It'd be stupid to impose a broad sanction against doing business with Australia unless American missiles or bombers are actually deployed there, but travel restriction is a good start. Make it illegal for Chinese citizens to travel to Australia for tourism, studying for non-research degrees or obtaining new permanent residency without obtaining approval, which will in principle be denied. If things continue to deteriorate, make it illegal for Chinese citizens to retain existing Australian permanent residency. I have lived in New Zealand and Australia for a total of almost 10 years. New Zealand is just a superior country in every possible way. And they invented pavlova.
i dont like pavalova. the aussies are welcome to it.

Not to mention, gulf of Mexico.
I am very concerned about lack of freedom to navigate there.

I would die a very happy person if China were to ally with any Latin American country and build a naval base in the Caribbean Sea with aircraft carriers performing FONOPs in the Gulf of Mexico. The amount of double standards put forth by America and its vassals will make the Earth reverse its rotation.

I was not aware that there were restrictions in the Gulf of Mexico. I was wondering whether you could let us know what the restrictions actually are?
Because US thinks it's "uncontested"

US's thinking of being uncontested in international water like this

hampers freedom of navigation which makes me very concerned about future of freedom & tells us the necessity to use force like China did in SCS to enforce law of freedom on US to make sure they are abiding by the "international laws".

Tracking US subs should be good for training.

I really like what Wolff has to say about the inaction of US business elite vis-a-vis the american economic nationalism by Trump and his tech and trade war on other nations has, in the eyes of the world, made these american firms and american businesses complicit in Trump's disastrous economic nationalism.

Makes sense, they can't claim to not be party to Trump's economic policies if they are the ones reaping all the benefits. Eg Trump forbidding TSMC from providing chips to Chinese companies whilst allowing US chip companies in selling mediocre quality chips to Chinese firms.

-in the name of "free trade" we are going to drug your population and do a nice business and make a nice profit

-WTF

-Yes, we are going to sell drugs, and Pablo Escobar (I mean Queen Victoria) approves the idea, and also we have a tremendous army devoted to the god Mars to enforce our will ... Do you not know that We are the last howl of Science, Reason and Civilization since the time of the Romans and their cockscombs

-"these Romans are crazy" (Asterix):

We know that "freedom of navigation" means "naval blockade", "freedom of trade" means that Germany does not have permission to buy Russian gas, and "rules-based international order" means that today it's time to invade Poland, tomorrow it's time to invade Iraq and tomorrow it's time to unleash chaos and terror in Syria with outsourced thugs
