Chinese cruise and anti-ship missiles

Not too surprising. Kalibr does something similar. They have a second stage which is a solid rocket that is ignited when it gets close to the target.

You sure a sea-skimming cruise missile is capable of such near-hypersonic speed? Or is it stated on the billboard? If true, that would be a remarkable achievement.
Not that hard in terminal phase, the airframe and engine only has to survive without distortion for less than 1 minute under such circumstances. 30 km at 1 km/s is just 30 s after all.

My apologies. I don't know how this made it past my filter. I usually translate Chinese posts and put them all in a word document for later review. However, in this instance, I copied and pasted from the word document but forgot to vet the information, probably because I was sleep deprived.

That's actually quite an upgrade for Shenzhen DDG167, now become very powerful DDG (even near 25 yrs old). Wondering whether the radar on 167 has the range to guide the maximum range of YJ-12 .. or need other DDG (i.e 052D or 055) to guide them ?
