It's often said that F-35B compromised F-35A. Ironically, the opposite is true.
Odd that people think this way when the original program was a marines program to replace the harrier.

But anyhow if they are opting for a jet that is capable of reasonable range and payload when operating VTOL, it is more apparent for a powerful lift system and engines.

The domestic “F135-PW-600” equivalent is basically at the final stage of development already; right now it’s about assembling the first prototype test article. Just be patient and wait.


Iirc his credibility is not that high, but in light of other recent rumours...

If it's "assembling first prototype test article", we won't see it for years.

The evidence IMO, is pretty convincing for some kind of STOVL aircraft on 076 in the near future. If anyone know where this runway is located, maybe they could check future satellite photos for mockups.
