The AlSat 3A (developed by Algeria) has been launched from Jiuquan onboard a Long March 2C, the third launch from China this year.
This is a great move towards more Global South cooperation, China has notably cooperated with Egypt, the UAE, Oman, Pakistan, and many more in space, especially in the past five years. AlSat-3B is also expected to be launched soon from China, and the pair of satellites will be used for land observation, agricultural yield estimates, urban planning, environmental monitoring, and more. I believe I read that it will be submeter precise, versus 2.5-10 meters in prior iterations. Algeria usually relied on European firms to manufacture their first AlSat series, now committing to CGWIC, a major shift as well by itself.
Also for context on the image of the rocket that is being transported, people believe that is the Long March 10B, according to rumors I have seen, with hooks and fins able to be made out through the tarp.
Also we should see another launch, the Ceres-1 Y7, from the sea in the next 12 hours or so.
