China's SCS Strategy Thread

China can buy Tu-95 and Tu-22M with TOT

South Korea and Japan will have to think many times because the TU-95 and TU-22M are their nightmare
Please don't answer his nonsense with more nonsense. Who the hell wants to buy a Tu-95?? Tu-22M is nice and a huge upgrade from China's H-6 but getting an honest TOT from Russia is harder than inventing it yourself and neither designs have anything to do with South Korea or Japan, which are completely and easily covered by China's land-based missiles. A bomber wouldn't change anything at all with these 2 countries.

I mean, they could just do him in.
Hi localizer,

They can't cause Duterte command the loyalty of the Armed Forces and is beloved by the ordinary troops. Duterte being a crafty politician had increase their salary 100% as promise during the election. And in his verbal attack on Obama he stated publicly to hold the CIA and the US accountable if anything happen to him either thru an accident or mysterious dead hehehe..... . The American was force to publicly retort any intention forcing them on the defensive. Then Trump came and the American change strategy instead of intimidation they offer cooperation, I wish to thank Ambassador Kim for that effort his predecessor Amb Goldberg is a known NEO CON and a CIA, he pen a primer on how to remove Duterte thru a violent orange type revolution.

It seems elements of the US propaganda department in Singapore has published a hit piece targeting Philippine president Duterte and his deals with China by making insinuations that his partnership has barely produced any meaningful outcome.
The anti China hit piece also appears in the CNA news report. I would have thought that Singapore would remain neutral given the recent actions of the top leaders. Obviously certain faction in Singapore are very much pro US and anti PRC. But who are they.

Hi KenC,

Remember Duterte declaration of split with the US and advertising his China pivot....
The promise aid and assistance is worth $9 BILLION, the other $15 billion is a way of investment which didn't materialize due to our gov't inaction. Now the best part is Japan was force to match even contribute more whatever China promise or given hehehe the magic of Duterte charisma making both parties dance to his tune....LOL

Obviously certain faction in Singapore are very much pro US and anti PRC. But who are they.

It's a part of anti-duterte campaign, 2022 election is coming and Biden had won the election. You will hear more, some will be sound outrageous but the bottom line is to embarrass Duterte and make him look weak. Now why Singapore well it's a financial center in ASEAN and a place where most of our oligarch and elites place and deposit their money.

Duerte's regime is not so much credible. He tries to act as a regional hegemon like Erdogan, acting realpolitik to gain the most political profit from the great powers struggle in the region. But don't forget that he is an authoritarian regime leader, often they slip to hard populist language, racial and social descriminations. There's also an on going civil war taking place in Philippines, where Communist militants have control in large rural parts of the country and mining operations.

Hi 2handedswordsman,

Duerte's regime is not so much credible. WRONG!!! His popularity legitimize his regime.

He tries to act as a regional hegemon like Erdogan, acting realpolitik to gain the most political profit from the great powers struggle in the region. Wrong again!!!! His action is for the best interest of my nation. THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL INTEREST. there is nothing wrong to leverage your advantage( the best real estate in the Asian region)

But don't forget that he is an authoritarian regime leader, often they slip to hard populist language, racial and social descriminations. YET our democracy thrived, past president had a history of peasant persecution and riots, It never happen in Dutertes term, in fact the voiceless masses had a voice because of him, HE represent them that's why he is popular among them. And by the way a little secret, Duterte is a Hua Qiao himself, his grandfather(surname LAM) from his mother side is a Chinese.

There's also an on going civil war taking place in Philippines, where Communist militants have control in large rural parts of the country and mining operations. No civil war but a peace and order problem, I think your info is based on MARCOS era, there is only about 3,000 NPA and shrinking most of them are based in MINDANAO the home province of Duterte and he had links with them, Do you know that during Duterte college days he join the communist mass movement and the COMMUNIST OF PHIL head is his teacher JOMA SISON(exile in the Netherlands). That is why your info is so wrong, the reason for the defeat of the NPA (NEW PEOPLES ARMY) is because of him, many of them surrender because they know Duterte will keep his promise and that is RURAL prosperity (land reform) and RURAL JUSTICE (persecution of the landed elites the HACIENDEROS).

I'm a Filipino Hua Qiao, and I think I know more than you what's happening inside my adopted country. So an advise if you're interested in learning more about my country, I'm happy to obliged.

I'm also part Filipino with Chinese ancestry, all this information is interesting. I was over there at the start of this year for family visit.
Didn't really heard bad things about Duterte but then again my family over there is not middle class or liberal orientated.

It was a different story when I was visiting some of my Filipino relatives in the US all I ever heard about Duterte was dictator this, dictator that.

I don't think there is any comparison between these two leaders. Duterte didn't intervene or got the Philippines involved in affairs outside his country's borders, Turkey meanwhile has directly intervened in places like Syria, Libya, and Azerbaijan.

I'm a Filipino Hua Qiao, and I think I know more than you what's happening inside my adopted country. So an advise if you're interested in learning more about my country, I'm happy to obliged.

The Philippines, like Indonesia and Malaysia, have a significant number of Chinese minorities, however, it looks like Chinese Filipinos are still largely marginalized in the country. I am wondering why there are no efforts until now by the Chinese minority to make their voices heard and advance their welfare and interests in the country. Every now and then when tensions flare up between the PH and China (most of the time as a result of exaggeration by Western controlled media of incidents in the SCS), Chinese Filipinos are targeted and are often victims of racial slurs, discrimination, and many forms of degradation. I think this kind of occurrence needs to be put to an end and the only way to do this is for Chinese Filipinos to form a kind of solidarity organization that will pursue to preserve their unique identity and at the same time campaign to change the hostile perception towards Chinese people. Chinese Filipinos will also have to be involved in politics to ensure that their interests are well represented in the country's political sphere.

not sure if its been posted here already but this video accurately depicts America's sinister intentions against China. I hope Chinese media including CGTN publish similar documentaries to counter US propaganda efforts that demonizes China.
