Interesting theory: USS Connecticut (SSN-22) hit a container. PLA using container like mine but without explosives. lol, love it
Would be a smart way to deal with other countries' subs. Sucks for shipping companies that are already low on shipping containers.

Wonder what would be the weight on those containers. They would have a max load/weight, and probably would corrode pretty quickly in submerged in sea water. So wondering how long each one will last. The pros of course is that the containers and the stuff out in is cheap so replacing them every year even with thousands deployed would cost nothing. Also if each one don't last long and just sinks after a year, can replace in another location so can randomize the threat for others, they won't be able to map it and avoid for later.
