Certainly not in Malaysia. The former Communist Party of Malaya (CPM) never received any arms from China. They got their weapons from British before end of WW2 because they were allies then, and later they got their weapons through arms smugglers from Thailand and Vietnam and making own guns with the help of an Imperial japanese deserter after WW2.

Though CPM did received help from China in the form of establishing a radio broadcasting station in Hunan province. At that time Malaysia still recognised ROC (Taiwan) as China.

This is deliberate. And no, these aren't just mistakes. There are already too many instances of them to be random. The official confirmation of US troops on Taiwan and now this talk about defending Taiwan after which they quickly clarify that "there's no change in policy" really has the same energy like saying "I will rape and murder you (in Minecraft)".

This is a threat. Thinly veiled and coordinated, to test Chinese reactions. I fear we are closer to war than anyone here wants to think. We are already in the probing stage where both sides measure each other's resolve.

Less than a year, maybe before end of this year in fact.... once war starts, all Chinese Americans (including myself) will instantly be locked up in USA concentration death camps and probably gas chambered

We are already in a cold war 2.0, the US think they can always win a cold war but China don't think so.

So the cold war begin again.

This is a very real and present danger. Chinese diaspora everywhere on the world will be under threat. And depending on China and winning or losing, they will suffer bad or worse. For now, the Chinese in the US are most threatened regardless if China wins or loses, as for the rest of Asia, they will definitely start murdering ethnic Chinese the moment China loses, but will bow down and make those same ethnic Chinese their leaders if China wins. So bottom line is that China needs to win, and that not in any uncertain terms.

@Insignius Bro I share your concern and can I give you my view regarding our situation here in the Philippines, if you say Chinese ethnicity at what degree, recently arrive mainland Chinese? 2nd generation? 3rd generation, mixed race? With most of us Hua Qiao we are integrated and is part of the Filipino society, it will be hard for some wanna be Filipino zealot to implement such an act without resorting to Civil War ( many mixed race served in the military). And I'm grateful for my adopted country and to see it evolved socially to accept us as one of them. An example of racial harmony for the region to follow , WE Filipinos however maligned had never resorted to violence to solved a society problem ( modern independent Philippine). We maybe a 3rd world country but we are taught by our forefathers (either native Filipino or Chinese) to respect each other.

And this is not an advert, you can come here to lived if you're felt threaten, you will be welcome with open arms, since most of you can speak English which is our second language you can be identified as a Hua qiao and can easily fit in. You can enjoy our Filipino hospitality and we can go out and enjoy the night life with the approval of my wife of course....LOL

Any state and people which put Chinese into death/internment camps are forfeit, by the time we get to that level of civilisational breakdown- which is what folks who advocate "all of society responses" mean- we're talking bronze age style 'massacre all the men, rape all the women' type genocide which will destroy the UN as a forum for peace and require the buildup of a new world order.

How far away are we to war? US economics doesn't look so hot and they're on the verge of civil war so it'd make sense for the anglo oligarchs to try to instigate a 'limited nuclear war' in Asia to buttress their hegemony. Correction, it would've made sense of these oligarchs still believe china's nukes can't reach them, but i think last week's test put paid to that.

Some people might have desire to do it but I tend to think US lack the ability to mass mobilize to carry out such an activity, in the same manner that they lack the ability to mass mobilize society to deal with COVID-19. Once upon a time the US was enough of an unified country that they could have done it, but not today.

People here might be overreacting just a touch. America knows that a war with China is far too risky and the only wars it wages are against those who can't defend themselves. The truth of the matter is if there's a war over Taiwan, it'll be because China chooses to launch that war. Not even the hardest DPP separatist will make a formal declaration of independence because the only outcomes are them getting mauled and America leaving them high and dry. China's red lines won't be crossed and this unsatisfactory status quo will persist.

Yes, China's nuclear deterrent needs to be strengthened and that's being attended to. The number of Chinese ICBMs capable of reaching the US has tripled in the last few years. The Trump experience has shown the Chinese leadership exactly what they're dealing with and they're responding accordingly. So, please, a little less hyperventilating.
