@plawolf @siegecrossbow

It is not so much about picking sides as in the tiny Pacific islanders. These islanders will flip flop to who ever got the biggest pockets. And quite frankly they aren't even worth the trouble with either carrots or sticks.

What annoys me most is these small nations wants to have their cakes and eat it. They want to maintain diplomatic and recognition with China. (Thus never 'official meetings with Taiwan or the nobel price monk, remember UK meeting but not official meeting, what a joke). And then play the unofficial card of an unofficial visit by a state councillor for their home consumption!

Therefore I think, like wolfie, something ought to be done to discourage this sort of behaviour.

On 30/08/2020, a possible PLAAF aircraft overflew Taiwan then turned on ADS signal while in the middle of Taiwan, causing ROCAF to issue over the radio a "Dear PLAAF aircraft, you have entered our airspace and are causing air safety concerns, please leave" request.

Prior to this aircraft turning on ADS there were no response from ROCAF, it's not clear if this is a case of spoofed ADS signal, or if ROCAF was deliberately pretending to not notice this aircraft or if this is in fact a J-20 successfully penetrating Taiwan airspace with stealth.

Looks like the second video is a KJ-500, so probably trolling with electronic warfare.

The first video with the ROCAF radio looks to be a separate event, aside from different call sign and no information on plane type, over the radio it called out the offending aircraft as flying at 4,000ft, while the KJ-500's spoofed flight path was reading 22,600ft.

Depending on your side of politics, I guess.

No. Not at all.

You seem to have missed the point that it is her CURRENT government policy that Tibet and the land around the border claimed with India is part of Taiwan! And therefore she is treasonous by going against her current government's stance on this. Which is why she is a traitor.

If you think that's wrong, then I don't know what world you're living in.

Not informed about Taiwanese politics, but is this the position of Taiwan as a nation or just of her party? Is she KMT or DPP? Or does that not matter at all?

Oh dear the mind gymnastics is strong in this one.

Party and governments are two different things. You should know that before you even post here.

The official policy of the ROC which Tsai and her party represent is the official policy regardless of her party policy. If she doesn't like that, then she is free to campaign on a ticket that only claimed Taiwan as part of her country. And when she wins she is free to change it.

The reason she didn't campaign to change the country's constitutional stance is..... she will likely loose.

So until she is brave enough to change her country's constitution and territory claimes, Tibet will remain the country's territorial claim. And this also applies to all of China including the land claimed by with India and also the SCS. (Which is where the nine dashed lone came from the first place).

This policy applies to whether they are SSP or KMT. It is a policy that binds them. She might not like It, but she nerds to change it, otherwise it'll remain her country's official position.

This is consistent with ALL country's policy on territory stance. Including USA and the UK.

So Taiwan as a nation claims Tibet?

And to be honest it doesn't exactly conflict with her paying tribute to an Indian soldier who happened to be of Tibetan ethnic background.
