Yeah exactly, it makes no sense to "unveil" it again when it's already been unveiled.
Having a new launch implies they have a working example, but then again everything seems to indicate its only in early stages of development

How do they make money from this new track? It looks like Japan's maglev will not be profitable.
It is possible that they built some text track ie. 20-30kms, but even then, this would still be 5-10 years away, even at China speeds. I presume we might see a moving prototype.
This is the mascot for that maglev. Think they got a bunch of comics out for it. Damn wish I was back in Qingdao right now...
They are still building all those new subways when I left cause of covid. I wonder where are they going to plonck it?
Do they have a new line linking old Qingdao center with Jiaozhou where they moved the city government to? Or is it just the actual train itself rolling off the production line, and going into the existing line in Shanghai?
Just launched. As expected, not much details about whether its actually functional at high speed

Considering that they've tested it on a test track in Shanghai, I very much believe that it is either a prototype or production vehicle.
